Roy's Soul Food

Finally got a chance to try them out, as an adult.. & I've been in the area, since a jit/kid. Bout to call me some breakfast in now.

Those smothered pork chops are good dude.

Food on point location is unfortunate.

I did not enjoy this spot at all. The food is nasty. I couldn't even finish my plate. Plus, the menus are handwritten and posted on the wall by the door. It's full of typos, scratchouts and price changes. They should spend a little money and buy some real menus. Or at least do what's common at a lot of other food spots. Have the menu cards with the QR scan code on it. Also the order taker can be a lot more quicker to take orders. I was at the counter for a good 10mins before the little guy came up to ask what it is I'll be having. And I think he only came to the counter because a regular had walked in and was loudly drawing attention that we waiting to be served. Looks like the order taker was the cook too. Hire more people.

I'm not sure if they were just busy, but, I hate when I order my food a specific way, only to find that even after being repeated twice, it's still not how you ordered it. I wanted "cheese" in my Grits and got nothing.

The food was AMAZING. I had the meatloaf and steak, with yams, mac n cheese, and cabbage with cornbread. I love this.
