Best in San Diego.....

Best Indian food in town, hands down!! We had shrimp and vegetable dishes, all were super delicious! Biryani was awesome! Naan’s were yummy! Highly recommend it!

3 star for food. I'd give fourth star for great service something which has been going downhill in covid everywhere. They kept kitchen open extra time for us late arrivals. Food arrived on time. Paneer Tikka masala and paneer naan were the best dishes. Paneer Tikka masala had aromatic gravy and not heavy on cream. Paneer naan was very soft. Side serving of pickle and onions and papad reminded me of Punjabi home cooked meal.

Best Indian food in San Diego. Everything is a fit above here, with super fresh ingredients and more subtle flavors then you sometimes find. Love their chicken korma and paneer naan!

Below average food. The appetizer was bland. The chicken tikka masala gravy was better—we requested for medium spicy and it was decent. The girls who offered water, the lady in the kitchen and the staff that cleared the dishes were super friendly.

An excellent Indian restaurant amidst downtown with most friendly staff and amazing ambience. Everything was so neat and the food menu was different from regular Indian restaurants menu. The food was delicious and served with smile and love. The staff lady, Tugba was very welcoming and also provided birthday treat to my 2 year old with gulab jamuns, that were mind blowing.

- understaffed (in the server own words) - don’t care attitude - food while being brought out directly from the kitchen was cold or Luke warm at best - expensive for the level of service and quality of food - potentially arrogant owners basting in their laurels and awards from 10 years back Edit based on the Owners whitewashing un-apologetic response- When you knew you are understaffed and cant provide the adequate service, work at reduced seating capacity, shorten the menu, throttle the incoming patrons, This didn't stop you from charging full price for a garbage bin food. Burning candles at both ends is not going to end well.

Beautiful restaurant with great food. Servers are courteous. Royal India is an excellent place to have a nice meal with either friends or for a romantic outing with someone special.
