I came in to try their pizza as I heard about them. Their regular square caught my eye and did not disappoint. I took them up on their offer to keep in the oven a bit longer and glad I did. Because it's more of an Italian bread dough as the crust (I'm speculating) it has a more crispy (not crunchy) quality to it. Very unlike and distinct from your regular slice shops. I really enjoyed it.
This is a true gem to the neighborhood. Go there and try any of their delicious traditional goods, or simply a coffee and buttered roll, greet the staff and leave the place with a smile on your face. This is a simple part of the reality that we can't forget to be part of.
A classic bakery with their delicious assortment of cookies, cannoli, and other baked goods. They offer a special of a small coffee and a buttered roll for $2. It's a go to coffee stop when in Astoria. Conveniently located below the Subway platform on 31st. Parking: It's a high traffic area with many businesses nearby. Expect to double park.
Great place with fantastic bread
The best place to find olive bread and other delicious pastry & pizza
Great service and good product just surrounded by better places.
Rose & Joe's is Astoria's hidden gem! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Their garlic knots are garlicky perfection, the linzer tart's jam was bursting with flavor, and the chocolate croissant was flaky and decadent. But the real hero? The choclatey, melt-in-your-mouth brownie (not pictured — all gone! ) with nuts. It's a must-try! Arincinis on deck!
This establishment is a neighborhood gem!! Greatest highlights for me, personally, are the Apple Crumb Muffin and Blueberry Danish. The only other bakery which ever compared to being this excellent was the Steinway Bake Shop.
