So many issues with basic service quality here: The hostess was quite rude and referred to my wife as "my husband" because she has a foreign name and made the reservation. I also had to spell it out and explain it several times to her. Wouldn't let us sit at the table or look at the menu because a member of our party was running 10 minutes late because of subway rush hour. I could've gotten drinks or decided what to order, but instead was rushed because we had a concert to catch. When we did sit down the menu had big globs of food and grease smeared inside it. Food was pretty good I guess, but nothing super memorable. Pretty expensive for average Mexican food and awful service.
The atmosphere here is amazing- the food is pretty good too, it’s honestly hard to find good Mexican food in the city, but this is one of the good ones Dietary restrictions: Make sure to ask about gluten free options, we had to work around a dish with gluten in it
Had a wonderful lunch. Easy to talk, beautiful environment, excellent food.
It was a lovely experience. They gave us a table right away, the waiter was kind and they were super fast with our order. We had their signature frozen margaritas and they were amazing. The nachos were delicious and the churros were the best that we've ever had (the portion was ideal for two people). Only thing that we didn't like that much was that the tables were too close together on the first floor (but we didn't have a reservation) and it was a bit noisy, but overall great experience, will be back!
Great interior, nice tables and silverware. We were seated without prior reservation on Thursday, which was great. The only thing we could not get coffee there to enjoy our dessert with. That’s why ordering desserts was a bit pointless. Overall it’s a great experience.
I’ve been here twice. First time was pretty good, table-side guacamole is a fun and fresh experience. Second time… tacos looked unappetizing. The guacamole ordered was an already-made sample plate, wasn’t very great. Staff was ok. Yes it was during the dinner rush, but felt like my table wasn’t being served unless we had to wave someone down (which we had to do every time-ordering, getting the check).
As a Mexican I would not recommend this place. Food is bland and very much American style. You won’t see a lot of Latinos/mexicans dining there for a reason.
