Root Down (Denver International Airport)

Bloody mary was delicious!! And French fries.

Gluten free options in the airport can be hard to come by, so the fact that Root Down has dedicated GF fryers and delicious GF options is refreshing. The service was friendly, quick and accommodating.

Important to note that restaurants and bars can close early in this airport, but even after the staff had soft closed an hour early they did what they could to get me a drink or a snack to go when I showed up at 9:15. Kind servers! I had a cocktail with beet juice in it, which was exactly what I came for!

Had the shoyu ramen and it was remarkably good. Would definitely order again. Also, our server Hollee was wonderful. Vegetarian options: Might be the best vegetarian food I’ve had in an airport Dietary restrictions: Good vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options

We were in a hurry and there was zero wait at the to go counter. The person working was friendly and courteous. I had the tofu banh mi and although it was pricy, it was delicious. My kid had the turkey club, and also said it was really good. The turkey club comes with bacon so be aware of that if you avoid pork. Definitely will make this a regular stop when I have to fly out of DIA.

After looking around a bit decided to eat here. At first, felt like no one is paying attention to get my order. But shortly after ordered, got the cheese steak sandwich quickly and tasted very good. Also tried the Bhakti chai, recommended for those who like cold black spiced tea with ginger kick, milk and mildly sweet. Overall experience was good

Solid airport meal choice. Server and staff were super friendly even though it was crazy busy. Food came quickly and menu options were more unique and accommodating than most airport restaurants. Had the turkey burger bahn mi and it tasted freshly made. Sweet potato fries were pretty good too. Got my food and bill quickly. Overall a great choice for a sit down meal at DIA.

EPIC FAIL! Bar staff were friendly and attentive. However, after 35 minutes and watching others who ordered at the same time receive their orders in 20 mins, obviously mine got lost somehow. Server offered a “to go” but a pricey menu includes service, so no thanks. Could have been a great experience, but as I raced to my flight I was left hungry.

Classic Denver, with an airport upcharge. Everytime I fly! I have dined at this outpost at least a dozen times since it opened, and it is pretty much exactly what I want out of an airport restro. The quality here isn't as high as the city offerings, but still good, especially for an airport. on travel days, bright salads with light proteins and well crafted cocktails are just what I need. Anytime I am in this terminal, or have extra time, I will make the stop.

Natasha!!! What a gem of a server! I have never been in an airport restaurant with this high level of service. Natasha is so compassionate about people and it shines through. She gave the best suggestions and they did not disappoint. We had the gluten free pancakes which were the best we’ve ever had. Everything was so fresh and you can taste the goodness. We also had a side of bacon and the breakfast burrito. I honestly will be back to this restaurant just for the amazing service from Natasha. You will leave full and happy!!
