Ate here while on a business trip. It was so good thats we went back the next night! I’m not sure who came up with the butter chicken cocktail, but wow does it work. Highly recommend.

This is a gem of a Michelin-quality restaurant that Columbus is truly lucky to have. It’s called “progressive Indian” for a reason - modern takes on Indian flavors prepared with elegance and sophistication. If you are looking for a giant portion of cheap, standard Indian fare, you’re thinking the wrong way. This is an elegant fine dining experience with taste and presentation to match. The food was exceptional. My only request would be to add a few more vegan dishes to the menu. We shared the cauliflower appetizer, the stuffed eggplant, basmati, and roti. This was enough for the two of us, although, if we were coming with some additional friends, we would really want to try multiple dishes. That is OK, and certainly won’t stop me from coming back (often!) to this innovative and special spot! Service is as attentive and friendly. The interior design is absolutely spectacular and first class, just beautiful. Columbus, do you know how lucky we are lucky to have Indian fine dining!?

Stopped by after walking the street. The decor was fun, but the food was even better. Would highly recommend stopping by for Indian food. The lamb was delicious. I loved the heat.

I so desperately wanted to like Rooh. The idea of an upscale, contemporary Indian restaurant picked my interest. The interior is designed well and the service is there. It’s just the food that’s lacking. I’ll pay a ridiculous amount of money for food that raises my arm hairs. Rooh did not deliver however. I’m told that I must’ve went a day that their executive chef was not there because others rave about this place. Perhaps I’m spoiled having had the best south Asian food from here to LA. The only redeeming factor were the mocktails. The menu all sounds amazing and is really unique. However the portions were small (which is totally fine by me if it at least tasted better than average). Rooh is just mediocre Indian food devoid of the rich, succulent flavors which are a staple in the region’s cuisine. For example, we ordered a raita (yogurt) and it was sweet rather than salty. I will say the sweet potato chaat was different and scrumptious in its own right. At the end of the day, just hit Khaab or Neehee’s if you want actual Indian fare in Columbus.

This place is overrated. The portion sizes are ridiculously small for the prices they charge. The flavors are good. The service is great, but who cares when you spend almost $200 for two people and you’re still hungry and immediately got get a snack upon leaving. This was including appetizers, entrees, and two breads. I know this is Progressive Indian cuisine, but you might as well go for the standard Indian food. It tastes just as good (sometimes better) and it’s a fraction of the cost. The ambience inside is bland. I don’t get the hype. I’ve stupidly been twice thinking the second time I’d be happier and feel less scammed. That mango mule cocktail is fire though.
