Romano's Macaroni Grill

Terrible experience. After years of going to Macaroni Grill, I will never go to another after this experience. Host didn’t even greet us with an airpod in his ear. Sat us without saying one word at a dirty table. Plates we’re filthy! Food was ok. Something I could have microwaved at home. Small bug hanging out in my pasta was a nice touch! Paid cash and waitress never offered change.

We had a good meal. The music was very loud during dinner. We were seated right away. Hist was nice. Our server was fine. Not great but mostly got things done. The bread was okay. OK, I can't say there was something wrong with it. Other reviewers have said stale, but the inside was moist, I guess I just didn't care for it. Nor did my husband. We did eat a few bites. The oil and seasoning was fine. It could use a little extra seasoning. My Pasta was very good. I ordered the make your own Pasta $18 and then added 2 meats for $7. My husband had the Mama's trio. I believe that was 22 or 23. The pastas were cooked nicely not too soft. I did request it to be aldente and it was cooked very close to that. I did need some extra sauce. But by the time our waitress came back to check on us after food had been served, I was about done with what I will be eating for the time.we were ready for our bill and to go boxes.

Entry doors to restaurant were worn and dirty not very inviting. Young man playing host, asked , "how many" told him "two for a booth please". He never said another word to us, picked out a table from a chart and handed two menus to another associate and said 'ashleys", the girl walked us into the center of the floor, a table, we told her we asked for a booth and she moved us. We waited a long time to be acknowledged and place at least a beverage order. Finally, a very nice server Cheryl came by and asked if we had been taken care of, we placed our beverage and food order. Moments later when she was bring our salads to the table this young man who was the host came up behind her to tell her "this want your table" poor Cheryl was embarrassed and I stated it wasn't her fault, no one, especially Ashley bothered to check on us.... Cheryl's service was great, however the whole rudeness of the male host and his lack of manners and respect for his coworker left a gray mood throughout the meal. Manager needs to have a constructive training session with this young man...and tell him to pull his pants up, no one cares to see his belt line riding half off his butt showing his underwear..it was intentional, but not dress appropriate for dining room
