It was the Starbucks in the Plaza... very great service, they are welcoming, and quick to get your oder and have it ready.
As it has been a couple of years since my husband and I have eaten here. We went there this evening and sat at the bar as we normally would. Come to find out they do not have a bartender on staff. And they are not hiring a bartender. The servers have to make their own drinks, they had to seat people as there was no hostess. And the manager on duty was not helping in any aspects. In talking to our server, Lizzie, who was great. She had to wait on us at the bar and wait on her tables in the dining area. Servers are now asked to seat the guest, take care of takeout orders, make their own drinks and serve their tables. Not having a bartender is extremely unprofessional. As you could see the servers, all stumbling behind the bar when it was time to make drinks and reading notecards on what ingredients go in what drinks. Pretty embarrassing for a macaroni grill. My husband ordered the seafood ravioli which came out cold. Sent it back to have it warmed up and it still came out cold. I did order the chicken Marcella, which was good, however, not that hot either. As our server did her best, and we were pleased with her. We will not be going back due to lack of staff.
The location is nice. The food is okay, it could be better. The service was good.
The Shrimp Portifino was awesome... the Bread too.
Hadn't been here in years but I remembered it being very good in the past. I'm going to say this first. My dinner was good (I had the spaghetti and meatballs) not great. Our service was good. But as far as the rest of our meals they were "meh" at best. I feel their menu is very limited to just high profit meals. And I feel their potions are very small for the price. We also asked for a meal to go with for my elderly mother in law wich they did with no problem but chicken marsala should be made with marsala wine not whatever was used to make a almost clear sauce(clearly a big corner cut) and we settled on the chicken marsala because they did not have egplant parmesan. (Should that not be a staple for an italian place?)In my honest opinion as a reviewer I probably won't come back. Not because they did anything wrong but for the price there are far better Italian restaurants in the area.
The food and manager at the Harrisburg location was fantastic, the service not so great. Maybe Elizabeth (our server) was just having an off night but wow her head was not in the game. We had a bit longer than normal wait to be seated, not sure if this was the server's responsibility or not. However, the person who did seat us said he wasn't sure where she was and that he would get us a table. After our order was placed, we asked for another beer and she brought us a different kind. "Not the end of the world" I've drank others frequently - so we didn't say anything at this point. Our meals arrived and it looked delicious. However, I asked if our salad was coming out. She apologized and went and got them. We finished our meal and the bill came, she had over charged us as she had me pay a different tables bill. When I asked why we were being over charged $42? She got frustrated and said there was nothing she could do and needed a manager. The manager (name I didn't catch) was very helpful in getting it fixed and also gave us a discount. Which we highly appreciated. Great food, great management, maybe the server was just having a bad day.
