This is niche market place for real Italian grocery. Much of the stuff here cannot be found in your local supermarket. Try the angel hair, baby calamari, and the fresh beef ravioli. Seemingly common items like these are exceptional here at Roma.

Love the sandwich and ravioli from there

Finally had "The Sandwich" everyone around us kept buzzing about. It's good, don't get me wrong, but amazing? Hardly. The meats are sublime, bread is on point, but it was missing a little "something" to make it special. They also have a veggie version of "The Sandwich" that's artichoke hearts and cheese. I didn't try it, but sounded interesting. The store was chill. Lots of cool imported items at imported prices. Deli meats are probably the one thing I'd buy here that I wouldn't buy anywhere else. I do like supporting local businesses when I find cool spots like this, but I wouldn't go out of my way - even if it's only a few blocks down the street. Overall, a good place for a truly "grab and go" bite if there isn't a huge line. If there is, you're in for a 15min wait if the line is still inside.

Amo questo posto. I love this place. Imported Italian meats and cheeses, pastas and desserts. I love Rosario (owner for over 30 years) as I wouldn’t know what the place would become without him. This is a Pasadena staple.

Roma is a cool place to see. Totally Italian store. Small but sweet.

This is a small specialty market selling Italian food. The place is well known for its delicious inexpensive Italian sandwiches that are prepared every morning. A lot of people buy these sandwiches so they usually run out by lunch time. The market has a great selection of Imported cookies, bread, pasta, oils canned goods and bottled items. I’ve never tried their frozen pasta and store made sauces but I can vouch for their delicious prosciutto that is sliced on the spot. This is the place to go for charcuterie in Pasadena.

I’m just here to join the throngs of adoring fans and shower praise upon “the sandwich.” It really is fantastic. It’s a masterclass in simplicity, using high quality ingredients, starting with crusty bread. The meats and cheeses are cut super thin and layered to perfection. The only condiment used is a drizzle of olive oil. All that for $6. I defy you to find a higher quality sandwich for $6. I’ve had it twice in the past week, and last week was my first time.
