We had a pulled pork plate which was a good amount of meat. Nothing special taste wise. Very dry and burned at the ends. 2 stars out of 5. Ordered Rod's sauce which wasn't for us. Vinegar based but I prefer mustard or red. That's me and so it's up to you. I love hushpuppies but these were very bland with little sweetness to them. Wouldn't get them again. 1 star. Also had the cornbread which was great. Warm, sweet, and moist. 5 stars. Collards were pretty good but could be better. Lacked in flavor. 3 stars. Finally the mac 'n' cheese which was not that good. Very dry and poorly prepared. 1 star for that one. Overall the meal was average for taste.
Rodney Scott gets a B- , Mac and cheese and chedderwurst were great, ribs we're cold and tough, brisket was dry, and the hush puppies were decent, nothing to write home about but very much edible. With Lewis bbq close by probably not worth the trip, no lines though at dinner time which in retrospect may have been telling
Overrated. The ribs are so dry that you can probably use them as sponge to soak water. The staff are friendly but the foodbis not good at all.
Went on a Friday afternoon for lunch. It was busy but they are an efficient machine. Food was great and hands down the best sweet tea we had on our trip. Portion sizes were generous. The cornbread was amazing.
