People are saying things about this spot and I must concur
Excellent coffee, but the cafe was woefully understaffed. One staff member was very rushed and was doing the best he could. That said, service was pleasant and as quick as he could muster (there was quite a long wait for just a coffee)
Food is always great and we leave town with lots of bread.
Small place but welcoming and nice vibe. Hardy delicious food and great baked goods to take home.
The price of their coffee doesn’t seem to match the quality anymore (final product, the cups that are used now, etc.). I understand these are tough financial times, but I don’t see the value in being a customer at the moment.
The fish cakes are great, as ever, however, the main reason I came in was to get some coffee beans that could be ground for making cold brew at home, as I do not have an appropriate grinder myself. I specifically came here over other shops because it was recommended to me for that purpose. I was very clear and stated multiple times that it was for cold brew, and should be coarsely ground. When I got home and tried to use it, I found that it had been ground espresso-fine. Especially at the price point, this is an incredibly frustrating experience.
