My go-to sushi in Birmingham, it is excellent and the prices are just right. The sweet home bama roll was superb.
Best Rock-in-Roll sushi in Alabama and I've tried them all. The funny part is they are the smallest location!!! A+++ best service, best food, best portions. Parking is tricky but worth it. By the way that's the amazing Ahi tuna salad with sweet chili sauce. I eat it EVERY time. If Ahi tuna is your thing it's a must try!! Sooo fresh!
This place was really nice. I was invited by a friend and it was a great choice. Our server was really nice and also tended bar. He was well versed with the menu and made great drinks. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was 80s rock meets Asian fusion. It works. Great place for a date or friend outings. Not really setup for family dining.
Jordan was very customer relatable and has ingrained his palette to serve the customer to the highest degree. I was thoroughly impressed with this location

I'm so disappointed and embarrassed ! I took my colleague out for lunch. She’s a traveling nurse so she’s not from the Birmingham Alabama. This was her first time ever eating at this establishment. Staff were very rude during lunch time today. I've never experienced this type of ill behavior at the UAB location. The young lady which was the rudest and the young man were arguing with customers only of certain color. Certain customers had to stand and wait for their food that was already prepared. While some customers got greeted at the door and was taking care of immediately. One customer simply asked why she can't just have her food that's already prepared. The young lady became really rude and started being really disrespectful towards the customer. She then told Jordan he needed to deal with the customer because "she's rude." Without accessing the situation Jardon immediately yelled and stated, "I have to take care of my customers first." " I will drop your order and ban you." The customer didn't cause a scene, only the staff did. I'm so confused why the staff went so far. All because the customer asked a question. The customer did become a snappy at that point, but she didn't yell and cause a scene as the staff did. They were so hostile towards one customer to the point we too decided to just pack up and leave. We were very uncomfortable. I feel like the only reason they halfway respected us is because we were in scrubs. After being at work for 12 hours daily all we wanted was an enjoyable lunch. Unfortunately, we only left with an uneasy feeling and anxiety.We both agreed we’ll never go back!
