Pretty place but the dessert don’t taste French. It’s a rather heavy greasy American pastries I’ve had.
I flew in with some friends to celebrate a birthday and was looking for a bakery, and so glad I came across Rocheli. I emailed for a quote on Wednesday and that same day I heard back. Also, the cake was extremely moist, and the flavoring was spot on. The sweetness level was not overwhelming everyone enjoyed it. Wish they had a location in LA.
Great Instagram cake. The cost is fair, you can see the value in the gorgeous cake. Impressive looking. If you want to eat cake, it disappoints. Guests agreed: cake layers dry, too thin, not rich flavor, basically a frosting construction. The frosting is generically sweet without distinction. Baked goods in the case, and the dine in shop, are gorgeous.
Best macaron I might have ever had (the Nutella one). My son also loved his apple torte.
The place looks great but the pastries we had were sooo dry, felt like it’s been sitting on the shelf for like a week. Definitely did not worth the price
It was the worst cake I’ve ever had. Both cakes were so gross, dry, not fresh. And it was unrealistically expensive. Don’t go there!
Their French hot chocolate is my favorite in Austin!
I had a high tea party of 6 for my birthday. I wished that the pricing details and what’s included was a bit more laid out online. My bf called to set the reservations up and was told that the higher priced per person package included imported teas and specialty coffees. We were only offered drip coffee. The first woman that served us for the first half of the time reserved was very attentive. Top off our teas and checked up on us frequently. Her shift ended in the middle of our reservation and we were only seen once by the person left to cover her table. The dessert tower was great but I think the price per person was definitely not worth the service and experience we got. I felt like a bother at the end when we tried taking pictures and I cried whenever we got in the car bc I felt bad for having my friends spend so much money. Still rating it in the middle because it was my fault for not researching more. But definitely don’t do high tea for parties bigger than 4.
