Robert Is Here Fruit Stand

Edited from a previous five-star rating. Returned to Robert's the third time during our two month stay and had a very disturbing experience. As snowbird Canadians, we have visited here many times over the past 30 years. We bought into the... Son of an immigrant, working hard, and achieving the "American Dream" story. We overlooked the fact that one has to pay more than twice the price for produce that you can buy up the road for less. We lined up to pay $10 for a bit of ice cream and fruit... just because we always loved the idea of this place and saw it grow over the years. This last visit, we were served by Robert himself. We were thrilled to finally meet him and chatted briefly. When we were receiving our change, Robert made a political statement that the reason the change was so small, was due to the current government administration. He pushed us to respond, and when my husband said he didn't agree, Robert said that we were brainwashed!!! He then went on to say horrible things about immigrants (probably the very ones that pick his produce) It was really uncomfortable. We got out of there as quick as we could and certainly won't return. It really left us with a dark feeling after having a lovely day in the Everglades. We felt so duped after buying into Robert's well advertised story. So when the next tourist gets their small amount of change Robert, please remind yourself that those are Robert Dollars and no one else's.

Robert's is amazing. The petting zoo has super friendly animals while the smoothies are awesome. Staff is friendly as well and allowed us to feed the animals with permission. 10/10.

Love this little spot! The smoothies and milkshakes are AMAZING! My go to is the papaya milkshake! They also sell fruits and fresh salsa and guacamole so we bought a bag of chips with guac and sat outside listening to the live music while we snacked. They have live music and food trucks on the weekend and the covered area is huge so it’s always a good day to visit. The petting zoo and photo ops made it so fun and definitely a place to enjoy with the entire family. Also pet friendly which is always a major plus for me.

This place is great for tourists to find some amazing tropical fruit. After many years in America I found a place that sells sopadilla/ chiku. Very yummy. They also have a lot more than just fruits, lots of great snacks to pick up on your way to the Keys. Very pricey though
