Worst sushi I have had in Memphis. Ordered yellowtail Nigiri only for it to come slimy, dry on the outsides, and unsafe to consume. The rest of the sushi order was the same, rotten avocado stuffed in there, no kewpie mayo, missing shrimp in crunchy shrimp rolls. When I contacted the restaurant the manager met me with nothing but attitude and ended up hanging up on me after I told her I was recording the conversation once she told me she would tell corporate I refused to work with her which was not true. I was never offered a resolution for an 80$ sushi order that was inedible. It used to be a good place to eat, not sure what happened.
Been going for years, delicious
The Yakatori took about 40 minutes but it was delicious.
Love the Hakodate!! And Yoka Sobi!!!!!
It's not hard to make Ramen, but GOOD Ramen is a treat, and you can find it here. They also offer options with rice, and they have sushi on weekends. The star taken away is because we were given a lot of green tea that tasted like nothing, and when we asked if they could steep it a bit longer, the tea they brought back out was cold, and we were charged twice. Otherwise...I highly recommend the traditional Ramen bowl! Vegetarian options: You can customize your bowls to not have animal products, or to use eggs. Dietary restrictions: Celiac, reflux, vegetarian, soy, dairy, and vegan can all be accommodated with simple requests. Parking: The parking garage at Overton Square has a good time limit vs. cost, but it's an immediate charge-up if you're one minute late. There is free parking in the street if you can find it. We parked at Studio on the Square.
We will not be going back. There are several things that factor into that. 1. They have an automatic 18% gratuity added to the bill. We have no issue tipping and we tend to tip better than 18%. But to be told that we have no choice on a 18% gratuity is outrageous. 2. The food was not great. 3. The house Sake tastes horrible. 4. Overpriced for what you get.
This is my latest hidden gem in midtown. The first time I had the Champion noodles recommended by the cook and the curry fries as an appetizer. Long story short, I've been trying every dish and I have no complaints. If you like Japanese style street food this is the right place
The food was very good as well as the service!
