Of all the many restaurants that I've visited here the chef at River and Post is by far the most amazing and personable! Thank you Chef Steve for all you do to make each and every experience one of a kind. You da Best!!
Steak tartar was a bit salty and mushy. The Patagonian Tooth Fish was cooked perfectly, however it was plated with a mix of Everything Under The Sun with two different sauces which we felt took away from the natural flavors of the fish. Our server was excellent. The outdoor patio is extremely nice. We will be back to try brunch.
The Rooftop bar has one of the best views in the city.
I heard great things about this place and was really excited. We stopped in for lunch for our first visit, ordered a salad to split, and an appetizer. I understand splitting a salad is a pain as a server, but we didn't want a heavy lunch and wanted more than a house salad. When the food arrived, no extra plates were provided, and I had to use my hands to assist in splitting the salad since I only had a fork and steak knife. Our server didn't show up for a while once our meal was delivered, bearly refilled our drinks, and took forever to bring our check once I asked for it. All I can say is thank goodness I didn't invest in a full priced dinner. It's just another disappointing dining experience.

I would like to say the service started out poorly. Jacob seemed overwhelmed. He walked past our table several times and avoided making eye contact. Once we asked to speak to the manager, Lisa, came over, very polite and asked us what she could do to make our experience better. We ended.up with a new waitress. Her name was Naomi. She had a great sense of humor and always smiling. She made everything better. I would like to give a shout out to Alex. He was not our waitress but he was very attentive. He had short curly hair and slim. He was checking on his customers continuously. Overall the service ended up being great.
Ate in the restaurant and then had a drink on the rooftop. The food was great. Bartenders and cocktails on the roof also great. The table setup downstairs was very cramped, the appetizers we ordered came out within 1 min of the entrees, the server was friendly but not very knowledgeable and the bathrooms both in the restaurant and the rooftop bar were in disrepair. The management and at least our server do a big disservice to the talent in the kitchen. I will try this place once more since the food was great, but definitely disappointed for my first visit.
Fantastic food! A great view from the rooftop lounge. Friendly, knowledgeable servers and an impressive whiskey selection.
