Katrina was fantastic! Walked me through the menu. Helped me decide on drinks, that accompanied the meal as well as dessert. Best Italian experience I’ve had in Colorado!

I went there with a group of my mother’s friends it was so much fun! We were there this past Monday and it was a calm night, as calm as can be when you bring all of us into equation. We were a group of about 30 people and we made reservations ahead of time which is highly highly recommended given the small size of the place. The environment was so nice and cozy, I told my mother it felt like those loft style restaurants or rooftop restaurants that they have in NYC and San Francisco. Lots of warm lighting and of different style fixtures so it did not feel bland to look at. All the servers were well dressed and hair brushed back with friendly faces and willing to help with whatever was needed, and were so so kind and patient about it all; given how many of us there were and how loud and chaotic we were it was so nice to see how kind they were with us. I know how stressful it can be dealing with big groups so I am so thankful that they were very courteous towards us. The food was so delicious as well! I will say presentation was okay at some points it could have been better, but knowing how many of us there were they did a fantastic job, also each dish was very beautiful and colourful still even if not fully arranged all the vegetables and garnishes really completed the dish and was so nice to be able to wipe each plate clean. The food was flavourful: good taste, good textures and mouthfeel, it was not overly heavy, each dish was aromatic to the nose and appealing for the eyes. I absolutely would eat here again if there were a special occasion around there corner. Parking: Behind the building there is free parking for patrons it is easy to find if you know how to arrive to the building in general but if this is a first time visit for you to Old Colorado City make sure you arrive earlier to acclimate and find a good spot and not feel lost. Wheelchair accessibility: NOT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE There is a flight of stairs straight up to the restaurant which resides at an upstairs level to its parent restaurant below… the stairs are wooden and narrow and steep so unless someone has a stair chair or there are trained people to help it is nearly impossible for a wheelchair bound person to experience the shop above.

Great place for a date night. I went with my wife for our wedding anniversary and we loved it. The food is amazing. Real Italian food. Highly recommended for you to go with your significant other. Parking and location of the restaurant is the only thing a bit confusing.

my boyfriend and I came for what was supposed to be a nice valentine’s day dinner but unfortunately it was not what we expected. I got the carbonara which came out lukewarm and overcooked and my boyfriend got the seafood risotto which had a weird sour aftertaste. The service was mediocre which was disappointing because it seemed like every other table was getting great service. Only two of the girls on the floor were attempting to serve us and neither of them were our actual server. At the end of our meal we left feeling very disappointed and underwhelmed as we had been really looking forward to the good food and service this restaurant seems to be known for.

We're big fans of Paravicini's, and this is their sister restaurant on the second floor right above. We decided to give it a try as we've been to Paravicini's several times and have really enjoyed it. Dinner started out with a complimentary bread basket served with a fennel pesto and olive tapenade, which was fantastic (if you're listening, Paravicini's, take a cue from upstairs on the bread!). Unfortunately, the remainder of the dinner was rather uninteresting and expensive. We started with the Artichokes Francese, which were described as lightly battered with a lemon and butter wine sauce. It turned out that it was drowned in egg with hardly anything resembling "batter". Now, if you like egg, this is fine, but it should have been mentioned that what we were getting was essentially an artichoke omelette. The butter and wine sauce was the only saving grace for this dish and would turn out to be the most flavorful offering of the evening. For our mains, my wife ordered the Cacio e Pepe, which was overcooked and mushy with hardly any flavor, not to mention crazy $$ for what is essentially pasta, black pepper and some Parmesan. My dish was equally bland. I expected a much more flavorful offering when I ordered the Caponata, an eggplant mixture served on top of either risotto bianco or polenta. I chose the polenta, which could not have been blander. There was literally no taste to it at all and it seemed like it was only ground cornmeal and water. The eggplant with capers, sun-dried tomatoes, olives and some herbs was trying hard to stand out, but it ended up being only a little more flavorful than the polenta itself. Our verdict: Sopra is attempting to offer a finer class of dining than their downstairs relative, but the food just turns out to be more expensive and pretty-looking. The offerings we ordered had very little flavor and quickly emptied my billfold. Sorry, but I cannot recommend it.

We stopped for dinner on a Sunday night after spending some time at Garden of the Gods. The downstairs was booked so they suggested we try upstairs. We were a little surprised when they said it was more of a fine dining, but the vibe was chill and our sweater and jeans were fine. The food and the service were phenomenal. We tried the Delmonico and the Carbonara. We got Espresso Creme Brulee for dessert. The service was amazing! Rachel took great care of us and made great recommendations. We also tried a Lemon Drop Martini and the Italian Creme Soda (strawberry and strawberry with vanilla).

I like this spot more than Paravincinis downstairs actually. The atmosphere is a little more fun, and I like the food selection more as well. Reminds me of time spent in Naples. Also has a seating area on their patio, which does have windows and heating, to allow for cigar hour.
