Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant

The place is absolutely beautiful and the cocktails are amazing. Staff is so friendly but the food is not good or they were having an off night. Salsa the consistency of veggie stew and tasted like it too. Chicken was a little too pink for comfort. (i got a stomache the next day and i eat a lot of mexican food without this issue.) The only thing that saved my "burrito" was dumping the salsa for the chips on it! Definitely come for atmosphere and a few drinks and maybe an appetizer- I don't recommend coming for anything with meat in it. Vegetarian options: A playe or two on the menu is vegetarian.

Great food and service. Margaritas were a solid 10/10.

The food really was just ok. Not bad by any means but not great. Steak quesadillas were very average and I’ve had much better. They got our drinks pretty fast, but we sat there with menus in our hands for at least 20 minutes. Service was rather poor but everyone was nice. There’s too many awesome restaurants in Denver to come back here again. I do not recommend.

The hostess is disgusting. Makes you lose your appetite as soon as you walk into the restaurant. If they allow her to dress like that, what else do they allow other employees to do??? Salsa used to be worth it with Margaritas, but they lost their touch completely. If you want to support mediocre food with weirdo employees dressed like they are gonna try and put a witch spell on you, go here. Otherwise go to La Loma for good food.

I had an amazing Birthday dinner last night!! Thank you so much. The food was so delicious, I could not get enough of the salsa lol. The drinks were also made perfectly. Our server was so patient and welcoming, she really made us feel comfortable.I also wanted the say Thank you to the owner for coming to our table and introducing himself, that gesture made me feel special! Thank you again, I can't wait to come back!
