January 2024, sadly Ringside is listed as permanently closed. Just goes to show that even the most popular venue in town can't overcome a poor location, with zero parking. Not to mention being across the street from a major homeless hangout, and, next door to a strip club. Any one or two of those factors might have been okay, but the triple whammy was just too much. Good news is their inspiration for several other venues nearby, along with showing that there is a thirst for top notch music in the area. Having traveled the country looking for live music everywhere, nothing has Ever been better, anywhere. Especially when you consider rarely a cover charge, relatively safe locale and a friendly population accepting of all our diversity, despite occasional divisiveness from government leaders. We are an arts centered town, with a love of live music, and value All perspectives!! August 2022, now open 350 1st ave North. A bit smaller than the last location, but more music room than the first. Still one of the best places to see live bands and plenty of room to cut the rug. Same great service and low key atmosphere that caters to all generations. On next block west of previous location, so very centrally located with parking and trolley service close by Was, 2016 to 2022, No place better for live music and dancing. 2 parking garages within a block away and free trolly throughout downtown. Too bad they had to move; still looking for a new location 2/2022

Update your business hours. At least 5 times I've come here during posted business hours to find the doors locked. Be more professional.

Grateful Bar. Live music, fun, grateful staff. UJB on Thursdays. Drinks are a tad on the high side but not excessive.

Was just thrown out for trying to see how the upstairs looked while they had not a single customer in it. I got thrown out for iron October 4th 2023 T 8pm. I would not host a show here they are very dead before hours so I don’t imagine them picking up even during a concert . There stage seemed like only a little bit of people can actually watch a show. I’m not 100% on that because I got kicked out trying to observe the areas of observation but from what I can tell not worth having any show at.

I would give less but I can’t. The male bartender threw away my already paid for drink and dumped a drink on my friend all because he was upset over a joke. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND

Great place to see an intimate show, boogie down on the 1st floor or relax upstairs with a cold beverage!

Here with my wife, had a couple beers and they added an extra to my tab. Happens every time in this area when seeing a live band. I can count to two. Dishonest.

I'm here mostly because I can't review bands, so this is the next best option. My friend and I went wandering around last night to check out some places we don't usually visit. My friend hasn't been to the new Ringside Cafe location yet so we popped in. The energy was great, people seemed to be having fun, the bar staff was nice, and the band, Den of Theives was sounding good! We were really happy we ended up there. Until we weren't. Until the singer in Den of Theives demanded a shot of jagermeister and then proceeded to ask "what the hell is up with this bar staff?" in an annoyed, condescending tone. The bar staff was just fine. Great even. They offered us service promptly. We stood right at the bar and watched people get their drinks and checks quickly. The staff was bubbly and smiling at everyone. We were standing right at the bar and saw it all. And nobody was waiting on anything, cause I hate to break it to the singer of Den of Theives but the place wasn't exactly packed to the walls to see them. You were given time on a stage at a venue downtown on a Friday night. Instead of being grateful, you attempt to publicly humiliate the staff in front of everyone while holding a microphone in your hand. I dont understand. Especially when your complaint was unnecessary and baseless. That's some Grammy having behavior. People know ringside, they're a familiar name. They hosted the concert for the students that practiced at School of Rock, aspiring musicians in our community. It was really disappointing because the band sounded good and we were really enjoying the energy while we stayed. But that behavior left a taste in our mouths that even our drinks couldn't get out. We didn't wanna hang out anymore. Maybe until one can use manners in public, a karaoke machine in the privacy of your own home could be a better alternative. I feel bad cause I gave a disappointed look to the guitarist when we left (I couldn't help it, it was stuck on my face) and he looked so happy with the biggest grin, having a great time. I know he didn't say it, so my apologies to him. Anyway, I wanted to leave a good review because they didn't deserve that last night. Be nice to your hospitality staff! :)
