Came in to say goodbye. Many wonderful memories here, good luck in the new location.
I have been eating there since I was young with my parents. 47 years later they are closing. The good news is that they are opening a new place in New Hyde Park, NY. Hopefully the food is just as good there.
Ordered hot chocolate. ITS DELICIOUS! I totally recommend. The servers were so nice and their bread is the best I had in years.
Cheap, nice and pretty. I had a yuca con mojo and a Cuban sandwich loved the simplicity of the flavors. Service was great and the music to dance for
Feels like you are in a very authentic Hispanic restaurant, food is awesome and the service is pretty good.
La comida estaba muy buena y los meseros eran muy amables!!
I arrived 30 minutes before they closed. They still sat me and allowed me to choose the any unoccupied table. It was very hard to make a decision as everything looked so good on the menu. I decided to order an assortment of things to try. Ham croquettes: these were amazing. While fried they were incredibly light and crispy. Sweet plantains: good not great. The flavor was sweet and the texture was great however they were not hot. Tostones con ropa vieja: these were a winner. The tostones nice and crunchy complimenting the tender and flavorful roja vieja. This place is really good I highly recommend. *Beware that they only accept AMEX or cash. They do have an atm inside.*
I can't make it in person before this location closes next week so I ordered delivery. I've heard this restaurant referred to as the most authentic Cuban food in the city and I wasn't disappointed! The ropa vieja, croquetas, and Cuban sandwich were all delicious and now I'm just sad that I learned about this place too late and won't be able to try their food again!
