Very green and earthy vibes. We tried a few new items. I didn’t like most of it but loved my tacos!
This place was an amazing gem to find without even looking for it. Came for a Saturday afternoon brunch, got seated promptly, service was great, drinks were great, but the food was out of this world. We had the excellent elote, tamal, and brunch fundido, but the pan de uchepos was a particular star. Even the chips and salsa were spicy, smoky, sweet, and elevated. I will make a point to come here any time I visit Orlando. Vegetarian options: Several brunch options were vegetarian, and several others had clearly labeled options to make them vegetarian (e.g. mushrooms instead of chorizo in brunch tortillas) Wheelchair accessibility: The spacious patio seating has direct at-grade access to the sidewalk. We ate outside, so I can't comment on the interior.
Parking: Parking lot is located on South Park Lane to the left after you pass the building.
My wife and I love Mexican food but we love authentic Mexican food. I am from California and my wife is from New York. I had chicken and she had the seafood dish and neither one was close to being good food and far from authentic.
Love this place. The Chile relleno never disappoints.
The meal was delicious, however i do have some notes on the fish tacos. If you want to have a build your own experience, then it should be easy. The fish tacos were not really fish tacos, but rather a giant piece of fried fish with tortillas on the side. It didn’t feel like tacos at all and i felt like i had to work too hard to eat it. To make it a better experience, the fish should have been cut and fried into smaller pieces and the greens should have been easier to access rather than underneath the fish. Either that or just build the tacos in the kitchen before bringing the dish out. Most people don’t want to work that hard for their food at a restaurant. Especially at those prices.
I'm a frugal person, so I'm usually very hesitant to go to a restaurant with high prices like this one. But it was all worth what we paid for. The chile relleno I had was the best I've ever had and it was quite filling. The salsa roja was great and the chips tasted like they were homemade. The churros tasted freshly made. However, I think they put too much sugar on them. Fortunately, you can get a lot of it off by tapping it on a plate. I can't remember the name of the drink I had but it was also delicious. The inside the restaurant was very nice and well kept. I would gladly come here again. In fact, I plan on coming here again at some point to try their lunch menu.
Great experience! Our server Ethan was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Queso dip was awesome, as were the quesadillas!
