Amazing food! Style is different than Mexican fare you are used to so don't expect chips and salsa or beans and rice. Go in open to something new and be pleasantly surprised. Also you order the main dish and sides separately. I ordered filet mignon and it was perfect! Seasoning was on point! Sides we ordered a corn dish and the crab dip, both fabulous. 3/15/24 Back for a third time and it did not disappoint. Chef Rodrigo is putting out new specials every month now and everything I tried was fabulous!

Beautiful food in a lovely setting but food quality was not close to what one would expect. Maybe an off night.

I went to Rey Carbon last week for my friend's 34th birthday with a large group (9 people I believe). I had to come late and expected to only order a drink or dessert. Even though I arrived around 9pm and we were pretty much the only guests left in the house, the staff took my order for an entree and had it out in record time! Everyone was so polite, courteous, and really went above and beyond. Our waitress took a birthday photo of our group and the whole staff came out to sing "Happy Birthday" at the end of the night - my friend was embarrassed but we all loved it!! (He can take a little teasing!) I had the Caipirinha with rosemary syrup and the Branzino. Both absolutely delicious and gorgeous presentation. There was a nice range of menu items ranging from modestly priced to extravagant, so I was able to stick to my budget for my meal. Will definitely go again!

This place is beautiful I'll give it that but other than that I don't have anything nice to say. Fist off the portions for the price are ridiculous! My boyfriend and I went and spent over $200 and left hungry. The staff was poorly mannered and were rushing us through our decision making. They seemed annoyed when we'd try and ask questions about ingredients in certain things dew to allergies. We waiting around 15 minutes just to be seated even tho we are a reservation. The food did come out quickly but the portions were told to us to be sharing size and it was not true. The esquites (the Mexican street corn) was awful and was dry. The bread balls that come out first were stale ( our first batch anyway) and the butter tastes like it was left in a fridge uncovered and got that funky taste ( if you know you know) the cauliflower ( salad) was cold and raw with literally no flavor. The only thing that was delicious was my 12 oz ribeye. My boyfriend got the Porter House which was almost twice the price and it was complete trash. The atmosphere was just off everything seemed rushed, customer service was just absolutely horrible they were rude to us it took forever for someone to even come to our table to refill our Waters anything. Kept trying to push desserts and appetizers onto us when we clearly just wanted to leave and then when I was paying and he saw me push the no tip because I honest to God didn't feel like it deserved it he stormed off. This was supposed to be mine and my boyfriend's date night weekend to enjoy ourselves and have a good time and we left feeling alienated and definitely profiled which is crazy to say. It was a terrible experience and I would never go back there nor will I ever suggest it to anyone else. If I could give it zero Stars I would but I can only give it a one.

There were a few bugs in our service, but everyone worked very hard to make everything wonderful. All of our food was presented beautifully. Dietary restrictions: Several wheat free options.

Restaurant is absolutely beautiful ! Staff well dressed in black. They wore gloves but that doesn't mean they are sanitized. Took quite awhile to get our food. Especially our dessert. I loved how they served water offering an assortment of citrus's or cucumber and placed our choice in glass and poured water in after. Nice touch! For dinner, I chose a special of scallop risotto. It tasted very good but wasn't hot. It was slightly cool and my risotto was not fully cooked. For dessert, I had a chocolate mousse with ganash on cake, and cake was sitting in a bit of coffee. Can't remember the name of it. I only liked parts of it. Did not like the hard jelly placed as a layer and coffee was too strong. My first time eating there. Plan on trying them again eating something different. Vegetarian options: Salads

Great looking place, service was poorly because we had to waved them down to get theirs attention. I ordered a $55.00 12oz Ribeye... was to thin and has alot of fats, mashed potatoe was not great... taste like it was made from instant mashed potatoes served in luke warm bath water... we got bread rolls but the butter was hard to take off from a small wooden triangle and come with 3 sauce bowls... 1 were okay 2nd one to spicy and 3rd one was dark and taste like burnt grease... my wife ordered some sort of watermelon dish top like dried up seaweed and she wasn't like it at all... the crab dish with yellow corn tortilla were a horrible combination...drinks were good but wasn't great... overall their prices wasn't worth it, we paid over $200.00 for the 2 of us. We both feel like this place trying to be like a highly gourmet restaurant when they're serving Dollar Tree like foods. We will never come back there again. I know it has been opened for 6 months and I'm sure this place won't last very long if they don't improve their service and menu.

Thought it would be busy on a Friday night, but we were one of only 3 occupied tables in the bar area. The bar is beautiful! The bartender is super friendly and the service overall was awesome. I think the food is very reasonably priced for what you get. I ordered the scallops, and they were so simple and delicious. I know many places that would charge double for less quality. My husband ordered the Magret Duck. We've never had duck before. Sweet, but not too sweet. Beautiful presentation and just a great meal all around. Dessert was great too. Café de Olla is highly recommended.
