Dude! I'm not a fancy person (I like dives) but I was here for a work function and the mushroom risotto was one of the best meals I've had in years. Service and atmosphere was fantastic and brought class to our event. Will be back for a date soon! Wonderful experience,
Food just isnt that good for what you are paying for. Yes it is good but I'd rather eat somewhere else and not shred a small portion of my wallet doing so. I've been here twice with groups from work and every time I end up just a tad to noticeably disappointed with the food and never happy with the bill. Parking: Garage across the street but you have to pay.
We went for a Saturday brunch around 11am and were just pretty unimpressed. We put orders in quickly and waited 30 minutes for drinks, and over an hour for food. Drinks were delicious, and we had fried green tomatoes that were really yummy. But I got salmon bennies and they came out about 10 mins after the rest of the table’s food, because there was some issue with the poached eggs. When it made it out, the English muffin was completely soaked through with water, as though they had put multiple poached eggs straight from the pot onto the toast. It wasn’t appetizing at all. I munched on the salmon and eggs but paid $30 for those two bennies, no sides. I would’ve asked for assistance but we had already been there so long.
My favorite locally boujee or mid-stay eat! So good, great staff!
My husband and I decided to give Revivalist a try for our date night. Atmosphere is really not suitable for a quiet dinner for two. Tables are entirely too close to have a private conversation or romantic dinner. The waitress rushed us through our entire meal. I ordered a pre-dinner cocktail and wine to go with my dinner but they were brought out at the same time. I ordered mushroom risotto and it was ok, not great, just ok. My husband ordered steak frites and said it was good. Atmosphere is more suitable for dinner at a bar with friends but prices are way too high for that.
FYI they have heavily scented fragrance pumping through the air vents in the restaurant. It's honestly so overpowering and really gross to eat food with such scented air. Then my husband's shrimp and grits were runny with barely any grits (and why were the tails on?) and my oatmeal was super watery (thankfully they didn't charge me--the service is really good). Also the latte was not good and wasn't served in a latte cup. I'm just so off-put by the scented air I honestly can't see myself going back
Atmosphere- 5/5 Service - 5/5 Food - 2/5 I ordered the biscuits and gravy for brunch. The first time the biscuits came out raw in the center. Sent them back and they came out raw again. Such a shame because the gravy was delicious. Edit: the appetizer cinnamon rolls were also undercooked.
My boyfriend and I just ate here the other night and it was fantastic! Our waiter Charles was very kind and provided us with excellent service. Thank you all :)
