Great experience at restaurant progress. Food was was on point flavors were incredible on the pork belly I had. My wife had the tagliatelle and we shared the burrata. Yum to all things. Tiny complaint would be portion for cost, not enough to dock anything from the overall rating Parking: Open parking spots readily available

First, I think that the biggest issue is that the price of a meal here is well above what sites suggest and the quality did not wow us. The waiter suggested 4-6 menu items per couple (since portions are very small). Together with any wine/drinks, deserts and tax/tip, it is easily over $100 per person. That is not considering their caviar options, some of which could be $200 with tax/tip alone - we did not have caviar... The Frisee salad was very unremarkable. I have had plenty of salads at other restaurants that were much better and bigger. I enjoyed it but it felt like I could have put the ingredients together for $2 and the toppings were very sparse and hardly noticeable. The swordfish ($42) was well prepared but small and not the best I have tasted. They say it comes with edamame but there were just about 10 beans on the dish. Other than that, it is just a small piece of swordfish with a few other sparse ingredients. The lasagna was good but also small and not exceptional. I have been to many restaurants where the food is better and the price 30% lower with bigger portions or a bit of a side with the main (not 10 beans). We left wishing that we went to one of our favorite restaurants but we learned a lesson... Service was very good and the atmosphere was just okay. There is no parking in front so you have to find street parking which can be tough when there are events in the area. Also, their options do not cater well to people with dietary preferences/restrictions. When you eat at a restaurant that costs over $100/per person (which we did not expect because of the tiny portions), you hope to be wowed with everything and Progress disappointed in several ways. Dietary restrictions: Very poor vegan options. Limited menu, with few options that can cater to dairy or gluten restrictions. Parking: Street parking since the parking lot has just a couple of spaces for dinner parking

Honestly overpriced, duck breast was unseasoned and over salted somehow, 46$ of tasteless pink duck lead to my wife’s horseradish covered ribeye? I never thought Id think this was good and I wasn’t far off, potato’s and asparagus it came with was SOAKED in that vinegar garage. Well good meat! The cooks displayed for you does show their talent, the issue truly was not the food even though I think it was fairly overpriced. The real question is does a 200$ dinner that leaves you hungry come with excellent service? Absolutely not at Restaurant in Progress, we sat at the bar and the bar tender took a solid 7-10 flirting with drunk bored house wives to even take our drink order ( first time here btw ) and continues mean mugging from both my wife and I, we finally approached. After that we was meh, food meh, atmosphere meh, if you’re rich, woke, bored and hipster RIP is for you.

Love finding a place like this when traveling for work. Small bar area but great vibe with tables all over. Cool interior but the food, cmon, thats why we write this stuff. Tuna crudo, hands down, best ive ever had. There menu seems small but thats a good thing because they do it all right. Pasta dishes were amazing and i dont eat a lot of pasta. Nice vibe at the bar and the bartenders take perfection in their work. Watched one making a drink and wanted to order it just so i can watch them make again. Kudos to Liam. Great job

Delicious appetizers; entrees not so much… We celebrated a belated Valentine’s Day at Progress last night. First time visiting in about 5 years, and unfortunately, this visit fell far short of how I remembered our previous dinner. Service and atmosphere are wonderful, although we were seated in the Wine Room and I felt like the main dining room would have been more fun. When I made the reservation, I was told the Wine Room was more quaint and romantic, and while that might be true for some, sitting across from a wall of refrigerators just didn’t deliver the vibe we were hoping for. On the food, we started with the Steak Tartare and Burrata, both of which were delicious. Had we only ordered apps and then left, my review would be far more favorable; unfortunately we ordered two main entrees to share and both were big misses. The Pork Belly was high on flavor with the Asian influenced sauce and bok choy, but the pieces we got were 90% fat and 10% meat. It was tough to chew and almost inedible. My stomach has some work to do to digest all that fat. Strike one The duck was highly recommended by our server, and she had me at “3 hour sous vide”. Unfortunately, ours lacked the texture you’d expect from a sous vide meat, and almost seemed over cooked as it was tough to cut. It also lacked any flavor whatsoever, and we found ourselves constantly dipping the duck in the sauce on the plate in hopes it would add something to the dish, but both the meat and the sauce just seemed quite bland. It definitely needed salt and some kind of acid. Strike two Overall, I’d give the dinner a 3 out of 5 on the basis of the delicious appetizers and decent wine. The mains were a big letdown and led to a rather lackluster V day celebration.
