FINALLY, real brown STEWED chicken. Wonderful genuine husband and wife owners. The cabbage was outstanding. I got a small brown stew chicken and I could barely finish it. Nice pieces of stewed drumsticks and thighs, not fried and no back bones. The pineapple jerk sauce is a must. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Next is the oxtails, I can’t wait.
The fish was good size and well done.
I recently visited Reggae Roots Jamaican restaurant and was blown away by the authentic flavors and warm ambiance. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with the inviting aroma of traditional Jamaican spices, instantly transporting me back to the island. I ordered the escoveiched fish, and let me tell you, it was a taste of home like no other. The fish was perfectly cooked and smothered in a tangy and flavorful escoveiched sauce that danced on my taste buds with every bite. The dish was served with sides of rice and peas, which were cooked to perfection, and plantains that added a delightful sweetness to the meal. Not only was the food exceptional, but the service was also top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. Reggae Roots Jamaican restaurant truly captures the essence of Jamaican cuisine, and I can't wait to return to try more of their delicious offerings. If you're craving authentic Jamaican flavors or simply want to experience a taste of the island, this is the place to be. Five stars all around!
There were seven oxtail the rice was parboiled one plantain the worst Jamaican food I’ve ever had in my life
I purchased a brown stew snapper with rice and peas, plantain and cabbage with a Ting that cost $44.00. The snapper was very small. I could count the peas in the rice and to add to disappointment they only gave me one napkin and when I asked for more I was given two more. It felt like JA with the one napkin.
Great food, nice and clean and respectful music to accommodate the dinning experience.
My wife and I were in the area looking for a bite. Faith lead us to this amazing restaurant where we were able to dine in and enjoy their delicious beef patty, curry goat and fry chicken. Not only was the food amazing but the service was excellent, the owner took the time to offer us to sample his signature pineapple jerk sauce. If you’re looking for good food and a great atmosphere this is the place to be. We will definitely will return.
