Loved the hash browns! I had the arugula and bacon scrambled, super tasty!
Incredible brunch options. I had trouble picking one thing, and decided I'd just have to come back to try other dishes. My friends loved the mimosas, which come in fun varieties like rosemary. It's also right next to La Bouffe if you need to go to an ethnic grocery store later with plenty of Middle Eastern options.
Very good brunch food. I'm glad to have found another brunch spot with so many vegetarian and gluten free options. The veggie hash and the huevos rancheros were both amazing. The staff was friendly and accommodating. If you love brunch definitely check them out. Vegetarian options: Yes plenty, I recommend the veggie hash Dietary restrictions: Gf, vegan, and dairy free options Parking: Look on the side streets Kid-friendliness: Sure Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
Service and food was terrific! Great waiter! Off the beaten path, but well worth it! I'll definitely come back!
I’ve been here just twice now — I’ve had the trout hash and the veggie hash, as well as the cornbread biscuit and the waffle. The two hash dishes were decent, but I found that they were quite oily and once you got through the protein, it was just a lot of potatoes that were kind of soggy and not really worth the calories. I did love the cornbread biscuit. The waffle was very sweet — reminded me of a funnel cake type flavor. I don’t think I’d go back here again.
I have a lot of dietary restrictions, and I ordered some thing by mistake that I could not eat. Not only did Chantel not make me feel bad about it, but she helped me figure out some thing on the menu that would work well for me and took the original item off my ticket that she certainly didn’t have to do. Sweet human interactions like that make me teary-eyed I will definitely be back! The food is delicious too!
I had the worst dining experience I've had in Montavilla in over 20 years at Redwood. I took a friend there to celebrate my promotion since they had bouillabaisse, my favorite, on special. He ordered his dinner and I ordered the bouillabaisse. but only his meal arrived. when I asked the server where my dinner was she replied I hadn't ordered anything, which on its face is ridiculous. I clearly ordered it and said at the time how excited I was to get it. I asked for some bread or something quick since his meal was sitting on the table. But she never gave me anything throughout the entire time my friend ate their meal. It was such a sour experience and feel the customer service was utterly lacking on its face and then no follow up when I explained their mistake. of course I was charged full everything and paid it and left never to return. I never have good things to say about this place anymore (i loved it before) and always give side eye as I walk past their doors. I'm still feeling rather grumpy about it. And, yes, it was Redwood regardless of the owner's denial. I know where I was and what I ordered - again, it was a dinner special - so back when you had dinner service (D'uh). And may explain why they had to drop dinner service. Sad & disappointing they continue to not take ownership of this experience, tho par for the course from how I've experienced Redwood. At least we know this lack of service comes directly from the owner at the top and works it's way through to the service. You can do better.
Excellent brunch! Cool vibe, solid bar, great staff. The breakfast was tasty, the hash browns amazing, crispy & delicious - Highly recommend!
Me & my wife eat here once a week & they’re phenomenal in all the ways I could want!
