RedEye Diner

Great diner with really good food priced reasonably. Good experience. It was a little loud, but to be expected with as much going on.

This place was definitely not good. ( we came around 11:40 pm ) When we first came in nobody sat us so we had to seat ourselves and the air reeked of old rotten meat, i didn't want to leave bc a girl already gave us drinks and i felt rude leaving ): the servers including ours were in the area smoking vapes and it just was kinda nasty to me because they were handling food and there were 4 of them smoking right in the area. not far from tables at all. the service was bad and she only came to our table twice and then once for the check. i had a burger and my boyfriend had the chicken and waffles. He said the waffles were too airy and didn't feel like waffles and the chicken was just chicken. I had the burger and it was actually the worst burger i ever had. there was no seasoning and it was very soggy. i tried adding salt and it did not make it any better.When we finished they didn't even come to take nothing so we had to pay with cash and just leave since nobody was coming to help. so i would not be coming here anytime in the future, even if it was just a bad day.

Dave was busy but a fun server- he took great care of us. The food was fast and cooked perfectly, the room has a true atmosphere - there are circle booths, cool art and the staff seemed happy. I will be back for more breakfast for sure.

Service was slow, place wasn't even busy on an early Sunday afternoon. They messed up our order. The food was ok. The place is too big for that diner ambience, quite noisy with staff yelling at each other in the kitchen. They muffled the 50 s, 60 s music but blasted the ghetto music.

So good. Great atmosphere. Love coming here when I’m in charlotte

Went 3/10/24 approx 1p/1:30p. Waited to be seated and was greeted by a rude and impatient hostess (approx 5'5"/Hispanic/glasses/ponytail hair abt shoulder length/thicker) who looked at me like she was disgusted I needed seating for one, restaurant had seating all around but for whatever reason I had to get greeted like that. I left I wouldn't eating anywhere that treats guests like she did. This is the second fail at this diner, food isn't even that good . I def wont return.

Excellent food. I had the chicken and waffles. Nice atmosphere. Bumping music. Will make this a staple whenever I visit Charlotte.
