Red Lobster

I hate to leave a bad review but I do believe this location needs attention. The good: The food was excellent. My wife and I were actually in the Olive Garden parking lot but we decided some mussels and cheddar biscuits sounded better. When we finally got our food, it was great. Buttery, soft biscuits were hot and perfect. Everything edible was beyond expectation. The bad: We pulled into an empty parking lot. We both thought it unusual. Red Lobster is normally a very consistent experience. Walk in to an eerily empty lobby. Wait at the hostess station for about 2 minutes. No big deal but that’s a long time to wait in a big empty lobby without seeing the first employee. I finally walk around to the bar to see if anyone is over there and the hostess comes out. Bar was closed btw. It’s almost like they were waiting to see if we would leave. More bad: She tells us there’s a 5 minute wait. The place is empty besides maybe 4 or 5 booths. We understand this from a staffing issue but after waiting 10 minutes, we almost left. We were literally standing in the lobby with a few other people waiting with no employees in sight. Cheddar biscuits had a hold on us tho. Anyway, service was slow but reasonable considering I only saw three people running the entire place. I assume the manager is a cooking oriented person but doesn’t get the service side. There’s also an undertone that needs to be addressed. Overall, we went home with full bellies of delicious food. We just had to work for it and pay $75.

Stopped in for lunch. Had not been here in a long time. Had the spicy calamari appetizer and it was very good. They also have good Sangria too.

I haven’t eaten at a Red Lobster in years. This location has surprisingly good seafood. Our server Marquis was very polite and knowledgeable. I will definitely be a regular at this restaurant.

Server was rude, host is walking in slow motion. 10 minutes in, and I just got my water. If I can give 0 stars I would. Service is nonexistent. Just close it down if you keep running business this way.
