4 of us went in for the all you can eat shrimp fest... thank goodness for the cheddar bay biscuits because we waited almost an hour to get out first round of shrimp and not once was a plate cleared from the table through out thd night. We actually put dirty plates on the table next to us and they were still there as we left. The wait staff is awful and doesn't really seem like they care at all about there job...
Overwhelmed by fruit flies Uninviting lighting Almost no customers for a Sunday dinner See response to owner in update below Our recent visit to Red Lobster in Henrietta for a significant birthday weekend dinner celebration left us disheartened. The restaurant, once a cherished spot for its crab legs and fond memories, has undergone a noticeable decline in ambiance. The warm glow of bar and front table lights has been replaced by harsh daylight fixtures, creating an uninviting atmosphere. Adding to the disappointment was the eerie emptiness of the establishment, a far cry from the lively atmosphere we once enjoyed. Seated in our preferred booth towards the back, we initially appreciated the friendly demeanor of the hostess and waitstaff. However, our optimism quickly faded as swarms of fruit flies became apparent. Hovering persistently around us and another adjacent table of patrons, these tiny pests made the dining experience uncomfortable and unappetizing. Conversations with the neighboring diners revealed their shared discomfort with the prevalent fruit fly infestation. Despite our initial intention to soldier on and enjoy some drinks, the relentless presence of the flies ultimately drove us to abandon our plans without even placing an order. Regrettably, we have decided against revisiting Red Lobster. Our decision was further solidified upon closer inspection of the New York State Health Inspection history. The restaurant, once pristine in 2016, has since undergone a series of inspections, with three instances requiring re-inspections for violations. The latest inspection on 10/03/2023 flagged a non-critical violation specifically related to the presence of insects, presumably alluding to the fruit fly issue we encountered during our visit. This concerning trend in health inspection findings further diminishes our confidence in the restaurant's standards. As loyal patrons, we find it disheartening to witness the decline of an establishment we once held in high regard. UPDATE 2024-01-23 After getting the standard cut/paste response from Red Lobster (see below), I can only say in reply to them (1) I'm not on FB so give me an alternative, (2) This review is for Red Lobster #189 655 Jefferson Rd, Henrietta, NY 14623, (3) read the review and address the issues that have been documented here and over the last 3 months in reviews, and by the NYS Health Department inspections.
This restaurant has gone downhill lately and I am very skeptical about even going anymore but I was with a friend who wanted to. It was great this time. Service was really good, we had a male but don't remember his name. Food was good and fresh
