RD’s Smokehouse Barbecue

I ordered two loaded baked potatoes with pulled chicken for lunch today, and they were not fresh. The potatoes and chicken were both barely warm and the chicken didn’t have the flavor it usually does. This happened at dinner a few weeks ago. We figured they would be nice and hot for lunch, but they weren’t. The cheese wasn’t even melted.

This is your classic hole in the wall BBQ place. There is nothing fancy about it and there doesn't need to be! If you are in the harvest area, give it a try! It will not disappoint you! Priced well with no frills. The cashier was super friendly and welcoming. All in all, a good experience! I got a BBQ sandwich plate with fries and Mac and cheese. Very good! Sometimes a classic BBQ sandwich just hits good! The fries were fresh and perfect! The Mac and cheese was ok but it's just not my style of Mac and cheese. Nothing against it! My partner got the leg quarter plate with baked beans and potato salad. She said those were some of the best baked beans she's had. The chicken was fall off the bone and flavorful. The tea and lemonade were perfect. I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu! Parking: There is a parking lot in the front of the building. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp that leads up to the building.

They messed up and gave me pulled chicken instead of pulled pork and it was still extremely good. Macaroni just like grandma makes it.

I had a patient tell me about RD Smokehouse and their brisket. It did not disappoint. Their brisket was the best I have ever had and it is so sad they only serve it on Fridays and Saturdays.This place needs to be featured in Southern Living. Brisket, baked beans and slaw is my pick at RDSmokehouse

This is easily my favorite bbq place in Huntsville. The quality of food never disappoints, and the value you are getting is top notch. I can feed my family for $30-40 and generally we have leftovers from that. I really like the loaded potatoes, and they never skimp on the toppings.

Smoked chicken is great and the pulled pork plate is awesome also. Portions are filling and sides of coleslaw and green beans are excellent also. Take out was easy to place order and ready in 15 minutes! Will definitely order again....soon!

What an AMAZING find! The guys and I stopped for lunch and we were damn glad we did! The young lady at the register was attentive, pleasant, and extremely helpful....not to mention absolutely beautiful!!! The vibe was old school country offset by the digital menus at the register, reminding us it was 2024. The Q is out of this world! By far one of the BEST pulled pork sandwiches I have ever had. Get the Bamaboi sauce!!
