I wasn’t able to capture many photos of the food, simply because it was gone as quickly as it came. Order the fun guo. Your palette will ascend to another plane of existence. Order everything here. Each menu item balances perfectly. Each bite, each note, uniquely wonderful.
Delicious food, amazing service, best Peking duck we've ever had. Also tried the popcorn shrimp, french onion spring rolls and lavender lemonade. Could not recommend this place enough!
Good Chinese restaurant in Toronto downtown. It is offered a regular amount and variety of traditional Chinese dishes. Quality of food here is not excellent but good enough for a casual night out. Beef baos and buns are tasty and very well cooked, good options to start with. Unfortunately, popcorn shrimps are not as good as they seem to be when you read the menu. They have no tasting unless dip them into the sauce that comes with. One remarkable starter that surprised me was the spring rolls. They are filled with kind of an onion bechamel, which reminded me a bit to spanish croquettes. They are worth a try. As mains, I would recommend the fried chicken and the mushroom fried rice. They were both delicious, very well seasoned and prepared for the table. The menu is designed to be shared to have the chance to try more plates, and quantities served are according to the price. As a reference, for a group of four people I would recommend ordering 6-7 plates (2-3 starters, 2 small plates and 2 mains). Desserts here are nothing special. Sticky toffee pudding has a strong taste which is not the best way to finish a meal, but other than that the cooking point was achieved .
THIS PLACE IS IMMACULATE. 11/10! Went with a group of 5 and we ordered the peking duck ahead of time. (24hrs notice) We also had the CSB baos which were amazing! probably the best dish I’ve ever had! R&D fried rice was perfect, Pork and Crab Siu mai was to die for! All good things to say about this restaurant! We ended the night with the Kalamansi Tart and it was the perfect tartness! Definitely would come back. Top restaurant in toronto in my opinion!!
Came here for valentines day dinner and the experience was disappointing overall. For $125 a head, I think we would have been much better off ordering off from the regular menu, but unfortunately we wont be coming back again to try. They had a really nice first course and it just went downhill from there for the remaining 4.. Dessert took forever and the presentation was sub-par (just two buns with completely uneven colored stamps..) didn't even bother taking photos near the end..
Fabulous service, very unique and warm atmosphere and as for the food, fantastic, delicious, incredible! Will absolutely be returning, next time we visit Toronto
