Rasselbock is alright for German food. They have an extensive German beer list. There's also wine. My husband had a dark beer which he really enjoyed. My husband ordered the jager schnitzel with potato salad and sauerkraut. I had the bratwurst with sauerkraut and brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts were excellent, crispy and sweet. The potato salad had a firm texture and nice flavor. Very disappointed with the sauerkraut, it was very salty. Ended the evening with apple strudel, which was crispy, flaky with a dollop of vanilla ice cream. Overall, a good meal. Restaurant is very popular and busy. Reservation recommended.

A decent German gastropub with a great selection of central European bears and Germanic cuisine. The Rasselbock schnitze ($21) was excellent and I highly recommend the brussel sprouts and roasted red potatoes as sides. The homemade apple strudel ($11) was quite good too. My only real complaint with regards to the food is that everything is on the expensive side for the portion sizes. Edit: Came back for some bratwurst ($16.50+$3.75 for a second sausage) - the red cabbage is quite good and fruity-sweet, while the brats were excellently flavored. Moreso than last time though, this felt quite highly priced relative to the portion. Edited Edit: Third time is unfortunately not the charm. The party's orders came out almost 20 minutes apart and were almost lukewarm temper. They were also out of all Sangria and their seasonal special creampuff, which - while only a pair of items - is quite deflating when the group became excited for them. Certainly would've helped if the server mentioned they were out of things when seating. This session also had an issue of the whole restaurant stinking of cigarettes. Parking: There're a decent number of spots on the nearby streets, though they're often full given the other nearby restaurants in the area. Around back, there's a small parking lot that can be somewhat difficult to find.

This restaurant is decidedly overpriced, the fare is of poor quality and the waiter was rather pushy. It was a cold, rainy day, thus a hot soup seemed enticing. We ordered their signature Potato Soup (Yukon potatoes, market vegetables, shaved cabbage), but it turned out to be lukewarm and watery, the shaved red cabbage was raw. Looking around what the other guests were eating was uninspiring. The prices charged for beer seemed way over the top.
