This was a very unique flavor. Best way I can describe it; original authentic, flavorful and full of color. Highly recommend getting the Masala Beef Bowl. It gives you a nice combination of some greens, rice, protein with a hint of Curry. They have 50% off on happy hour from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m.. Glass of Vino starting for $6-7
I tried Rangoon for the first time and the food is so flavorful! I ordered take out of the Tamarind Veggie Curry, wanting a vegetarian meal. The pumpkin and curry stew was absolutely amazing, I will definitely be going back to try some other dishes. The staff was so friendly and encouraged me to try the Tamarind Veggie Curry...they were absolutely right, soo good! Highly recommended!
A cosy dining delight. Delicious food! What a treat
We had a wonderful time here. The hostess was sweet and gracious. The food was heavenly. Highly recommended!
I got some Burmese coconut noodle soup for take out, and it was so delicious! When I tasted it, I feel like I was transported back to my home town Rangoon taste. Rangoon Chelse is definitely the go to place in NYC if you want to eat high quality Burmese food.
New York has a very diverse food culture, so when I saw this new Burmese restaurant I was curious enough to try it. First, the interior is very cozy and homey so it is a good place for a good vibe gathering. However, the waitress who assisted us last night was not very knowledgeable about the menu. In addition to this, she is not a great server because there is not any assort of greetings or interactions. Then we never received our second drink order eventually we decided to pay the bill and left. No comment from the waitress at all. The food presentation looked good, we had the mango shrimp salad which was tasteful and refreshing. But the curry chicken noodle is tested with nothing and no chicken at all. The cooked pork with coconut rice, was flavourful but too salty. In addition, it is very expensive for what it is. Almost $100 for the night and we did not satisfied by any means. I am curious how the NYT food article list this restaurant as Top 100? It making me unbelieve NYT critic.
Incredible. I already want to come back!
I had the chicken cinnamon curry. It was pretty incredible. The sauce was delicious and mild. The chicken fell off the bone. I liked how the onions came on the side and you sort of mixed them in with the sauce.
