Great bar atmosphere, really good food, the pizza is good too. Friendly bartenders. I've been told the building is over 100 years old. It doesn't look that way on the inside though. Lots of tv's and music too.
Pour a good drink there. Good bar food. Fun staff.
Every bar has a gimmick. Nowadays a lot of them getting too gimmicky. Not this place no gimmick. Hard to find in Chicago. Tried to drink all of their $4 tall boy PBR. The chicken quesadilla, how I got me and my coworker home. If I wasn’t in town on business I would’ve drank all their $4 tall boy PBR. In all seriousness, was told they were under new management. Obviously it’s working. Staff was entertaining, locals were non stop entertainment, food was crème de la crème of bar food.
Got burger and a beer. $24. Fries were just regular krinkle fries and nothing special, they did give you a lot though. The burger was decent, but I asked if they had cheddar and she said yes, but came with American. Yuk. The bartender was nice and attentive though.
First. I happened to be lucky enough to have the rare (as i was told at least) rib special. The fact that those ribs were the best i ever had blows my mind. Our bartender was extremely nice to a fault. Carded ok. Do your due diligence. I ordered a beer and 2 well tequila shots. I was served a shot while my wife got her id from the car. She was served a fireball shot by mistake then a shot of tequila. After me having one shot and a freshly cracked beer and the wife a shot of weak fireball and 1 tequila she refused to give us more drinks untill after our food. I do understand the responsibility of a bartender but this was just too much. We had realistically 1 shot each because how can you count fireball. It made us very uncomfortable and judged and as a result were weary of ordering any more alcohol. While i appreciate the responsibility of the barkeep that was just too much. I felt trapped in a youtube video of "that vegan teacher" it was weird
A very cosy little bar where everyone knows each other.
