Best vegetarian Mexican in SD

Edmundo and the crew at Ranchos provided catering for my 50th birthday party at Morley Field and everyone loved the all vegan selections. The whole experience was so easy and the food was incredibly fresh and tasty. I can't recommend Ranchos enough! Such nice, genuine people providing food with amazing flavor and quality. They went above and beyond and the party was a big hit! Vegetarian options: Great variety for vegans and vegetarians Dietary restrictions: They will work with you to get you exactly what ingredients you can tolerate

Ordered vegan surf and turf and after taking two bites realized it was real meat

Not it. Used to be good but they recently changed their menu, increased their prices significantly, and didn’t even have enough staff to show for the increased prices. Brought my family here and we ordered 2 California burritos, veggie soup, shiiitake bowl, wet burrito, and the tamal & chile relleno plate. Only one person really enjoyed their food. Will not be returning. Such a disappointing and underwhelming lunch considering how great they used to be.

Ranchos Cocina is a must go to for authentic Mexican food in San Diego area. We loved their fajitas, California burrito and enchiladas with mole. Great friendly service, food was so fresh and tastefully done. I wish they were in San Fran area.

Lots of vegetarian options, limited parking due to construction and new bike lanes, be prepared to walk. Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian and vegan options!

I have been a customer for over 10 years. They recently changed their menu. Their service has gone downhill. It's such a shame, I used to eat here at least once a month. I've been here 3 times since the changes were made and I can't get used it to. I don't think I'll be back for a long time.

I picked this place when I wanted some Mexican food. When I entered the restaurant, I had a warm welcome from their staff, who also helped me find a table. I ordered a Tofu & Black Bean Torta and a vegan Black Bean Tacos. Once the staff took the order, I received some chips and salsa. Oh my, I loved the appetizing snack! The salsa was fresh and had a good spice level to it. Just as I emptied the chips, the order reached my table. The tacos were delicious! The vegan cheese added a nice flavor to the black beans and the veggies. The Torta with tofu, black beans, and veggies was another treat! The only issue was I could hardly finish it because the Torta was huge! The service from the staff was excellent! She was quick and took a moment to assure me the order was how I wanted it. They have an extensive menu with tons of vegetarian and vegan options. You can customize them as well! The ambiance was another thing I liked about the restaurant. It had decor that made me feel like I was in Mexico. Overall, I had a pleasant dining experience at Ranchos Cocina. I'd love to dine here again during my next visit to San Diego.
