Rafiqi's Halal Cart

First time ordering from this cart and loved how many vegetable options were offered for the chicken and rice: lettuce, tomato, onion, corn, and chickpeas. The gentleman working the cart is such a nice person, made great conversation while he was making my food. The chicken had good flavor and he loaded it with white sauce and hot sauce as requested. Would highly recommend this cart

Yo! PSA - There is no Rafiqi's here! They gone. In its place is a generic cart. If you plan on going here for some sweet street meet, go to Union Sq or Grand Central.

Nice food and dealing

Hot sauce wasn't spicy at all, and the dish lacked flavor. The cart says they take contactless payment but told us cash only after we already received the food.

6.99 (7 dollars) for lamb and chicken combo - not to mention all of the vegetables and sauce. Lamb tastier, less salty and cooked better (crispy crust) and chicken is juicier. Also seem neater and cleaner. Better than other carts in the area and also ones in Queens. Update 8/1/2019 Tried lamb and falafel over rice and surprisingly good falafel. 39th Street & 5th Ave - betw Staples and now closed Lord & Taylor Update 4/11/2020 does anyone know if this rafiqi at this location still open?

Extremely rude and deceitful staff. He tried to give me a nickel for my change and pass it off as a quarter thinking I wouldn't notice. Also acted as if he was doing me a favor for bringing him business. Never going again. Trash people
