Despite being the lone diner I gave Rachel’s five stars for “Atmosphere” as it is my preferred dining style ;) My server (Beth) was very friendly and engaging. However, the focal point of my experience was the Rueben! Corned beef stacked high and drenched in Russian dressing, this beautiful mess oozed melted Swiss and ‘kraut from all sides. The bread had a nice texture and was perfectly toasted though it struggled to hold it all together. As a side I chose the sweet potato fries and was thoroughly impressed. Washed down with an Athletic Brewing Co NA IPA this made for a perfect early lunch. 5/5 would eat again.
Located in the Syracuse University Sheraton, Rachel's is a terrific restaurant for all your meals. Plus, the staff is the best.
Is this not called citrus or sitrus? Either way it’s the restaurant in the hotel. We had breakfast there on two occasions and the food was surprisingly delicious. Coffee was good. The hotel bar was average, not very good at mixed drinks. No drink menu with mixed drink offers. I’d pass on the bar unless it’s easy because you are staying at the hotel.
Food and drink were great. Associates were very attentive and friendly. Will return Dietary restrictions: They are excellent for catering to allergy needs
The food is mediocre. The customer service isn’t great, except for Sarah! Sarah is wonderful!
Staying at the hotel. Decided to order food here even though the ratings were a bit low. I’m glad I did. Service from the host and bartender were friendly, fast and genuine. Food was also good and reasonable (especially for a hotel restaurant). I’ve stayed at this hotel quite a few times and will definitely eat here again. Wish I had tried it before!
