Waited over an hour for our food (two bagels two coffee) after ordering ahead and given a estimated time 45 minutes earlier than when we actually received our food, and one of the bagels was completely missed! So an hour and fifteen for two black coffees and a bagel with smear. Wouldn’t mind waiting so long if we had even just been warned before hand. Feels like they are just taking as many orders as they can without consideration for others time. I get it make a living but I’m sure there’s tons of Grubhub/post mates drivers that are getting screwed by this too and that really doesn’t seem fair! Just cut off orders if it’s going to overwhelm the store that’s so disrespectful to the customers, drivers, and I’m sure the employees aren’t enjoying it either.
Waited in there for 45 minutes for a bagel that never came. Sadly had to request a refund.
Love their bagels. Once you go sourdough, you never go back to the normal bagel
Maybe I have a different taste for bagels growing up on the east coast but these are small, hard and almost tasteless. I bought bagels early in the morning and had to microwave it before a toast for it to be even a little moist/not stale tasting. Their sandwiches are good and have great ingredients but for the price it’s just not a great bagel. I suppose sourdough doesn’t make a great bagel base.
Have stopped in once after driving by many times. I preordered a bagel with cream cheese, coffee and a cinnamon roll which is already prepared ahead of time. I waited 30 minutes for a very simple order that I found to be about average and no better than the other local bagel options in the neighborhood. The cinnamon roll wasn’t to my liking, but that could be me. I did love Baker Millers cinnamon roll before they changed concepts which was also sourdough so I don’t think it was due specifically to that. I’d be willing to try again but based on my first visit I don’t see what all the hype is about.
The bagels are good if you moved here from some mediocre mid-sized midwestern city and have no frame of reference for what good food is. The owners are insufferable and their behavior highlights something that is prevalent not just here but in many small businesses: the attitude that simply starting a business entitles one to success without question. Rather than address problems, the owner berates customers. If you have to rely on this tactic or pity to run your business then you don't have a business plan and thus should fail. The owner will probably respond to this after smashing a bottle of popov. Also if people find your bagels comparable to that of a grocery store then you clearly suck at making them.
Me, my boyfriend, and my whole family are totally obsessed with R and A! The bagels, sammies, pizzas, and sweets are all amazing. I got the daisy dogs for the family Christmas party too and they were a huge hit! There are long wait times sometimes, but since I live in the neighborhood I usually just order ahead to avoid the wait. My dog is also a huge fan and walks there to wait for the treats sometimes!
