This bakery brought back memories of my country, the same taste of pastries and freshly made bread, totally fresh, crunchy and exquisite...
Great staff and bread, but every single coffee cup leaks and their croissants taste a century old
I have been a customer of the bakery since they were at the old location. I used to bring my dad at the old place for coffee when he was here. R Bakery is a family friendly place that I hold in high regard because they never discriminated against anyone or asked for a vax pass to dine in during covid. The bakery provided a welcome respite for everyone. I typically order their chocolate rolls or chocolate croissant because they're great. It's a great place to take a book and read for a bit. And it's probably the only cafe in the city where you can order a tea and a regular croissant for under $4. You won't get that anywhere in Toronto. UPDATE The bakery replaced its booths with tables and there's more room to dine in. They also upgraded the tables to more modern sleek ones. The tables weren't the only upgrade. The pastries got one too. There's more decadent sweets like the crème dome and mango chocolate square. They're delicious.
Food was okay but not as good as it looks. There’s this staff (Philippina) that’s rude and never smile. Can’t recommend this place if you’re looking for a chill breakfast.
Great breakfast at reasonable prices. I love that they often update their food! They try new bread recipes and styles as well as new pastries. Love their focaccia sandwiches. And their ham & cheese croissants!
Fresh bread! Fridays the pecan bread is fantastic! Must try!
