Nestled in a small group of establishments at Jane and Annette, at the gates of Baby Point, Queen Margherita occupies what used to be a bank building. The location is conveniently reachable by TTC and there are a fair number of street parking places nearby. The interior is spacious, with large windows offering a view of the neighbourhood. WIth such exposed walls, one would think that it would be cold in there in the winter, but the wood-burning oven probably does a fair bit to counter that. Sitting near the door is not advisable if you are too sensitive to cold (the vestibule is also thick-paned glass) - but there are only one or two tables that would fit that category. The level of ambient noise is a bit daunting upon entry - but sitting down at a table offers a different auditory experience, and while the general murmur is not quiet, there is not usually any difficulty in holding conversations without having to shout. The food is excellent - though it might not be the kind of pizza that everyone is accustomed to. Crusts are thin and airy, and the ingredients used for the toppings taste fresh. I have tried 3 or 4 different personal pizzas and they are all delicious. The cocktail variety is also somewhat limited, but there are enough choices to appeal to a fairly large audience. Prices for food and drink are reasonable, especially considering what you're getting. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. Again, people tend to have strong opinions on pizza - but these are tasty and not greasy, so they will leave you satisfied. Don't forget to try the tiramisu - it is subtly displayed at the bottom the menu with no description - but it tastes amazing.
Been going here off and on since it opened. Consistently disappointed and I always swear I’ll never go back, but unfortunately, tried it once again. Very loud because of the ceiling (no insulation). No atmosphere. Service very slow yet still chaotic. Tiramisu was worst I’ve ever had, tasted like sticky vanilla pudding with hard cookies. On our recent visit they had almost no wine selection. They were out of almost every bottle we tried to order, plus the cocktail we wanted. Waited over 30 minutes for water and pre dinner cocktails, but our appetizer arrived before our water & cocktails. Food is good (except burnt pizza & “tiramisu”) but pricey. Server was really nice, if slow, probably overworked, tried to make up for wine not being available, but overall service has always been very frustrating. Much better restaurants around. I’ve given up. Too many tries. Won’t return.
Great pizza. One of the best in Toronto
It is a fantastic place to have authentic Italian cuisine. Absolutely loved the pizza. It was worth the money
Fantastic pizza always. Better to dine in. Only minused stars for food and service because we ordered pizza and took the delivery person so long to come to us and we were 5 mins away. Warm/cold pizza not so great. :( Otherwise would have been all 5 stars.
Love this place Food is amazing portions are huge. Service is friendly.
I came here for my birthday last week on a Sunday night and it was pretty full. We were seated quickly and I ordered the calamari and 3 pizzas. Delicious and lived up to the hype.
This place is a must visit!! We had my wife’s 40th birthday party here a few weeks ago. My wife and I moved to the area not to long ago and have been hooked on Roberto’s pizza ever since The pizza here is perfection!! A beautiful restaurant with a relaxing environment with wonderful staff. I want to thank Roberto and Janice again for making the day so special.
Taste is good. But they always burn the sides of our pizzas. No matter how many times we ask. Why paying $24 for a marguerita pizza, if you can get one for $15 at Goodfella's, with better taste?
