Decided to give this local spot a chance even after hearing about all the health code violations that they were hit with. Three stars just for the service and that’s honestly generous. Papa a la huancayina was served at room temp not much flavor, anticuchos were ordered medium but got to the table well done with good flavor(nothing crazy), lomo saltado was chewy and also lacked flavor. Leche de Tigre had decent flavor but the fish tasted like when you chew Juicy Fruit for too long. Jalea mixta was good. All in all, if you’re hungry and want quick Peruvian this is the spot to go but if you want real flavor I’d suggest La Perla, Aromas Del Peru, El Pollo Inka, El Chalán, even La Granja.
Apologies if some of the food photos are eaten but nothing could stop my daughter from digging in! I’ve come here many times over the past 5 years and the food has always been consistent. It’s a casual dining experience, no frills. Just here to serve good food. Tostones were light and crispy. Ceviche always fresh and flavorful.
