Location is extremely racist. I’m a black tax paying man and I went to this location to make a money order. This is not the usual Publix I use to make money orders but I was in the area so I popped in. They require you to have a government issued ID when making money orders and I presented my conceal weapon permit which is issued by the Department of agriculture, because that was the only ID I had on me. The cashier refused to accept my ID. I requested to speak to a manager. This fat white woman comes over and basically tells a bold face lie stating that they do not accept Conceal weapon permits and it’s against Publix policy to do so. Now how do I know that is a lie, I went to the Publix that nearby 125th st and 6 ave and used the same ID and was able to purchase the money order. They told me no such policy exists since they only require a government issued ID so it doesn’t matter which one you present. Speaking to the staff at this location, they told me that they get a lot of complaints about that Publix on north Miami Beach Blvd which are race based. The 125th location caters to a lot of the Haitian Americans in the area, while the north Miami Beach Blvd location prefers white customers over black. so I know that the rating they have is completely fake. They also encourage customers at the north Miami Beach Blvd location to leave position reviews for future discounts on purchase which just goes to shows you that this location is doing everything in its power to keep a good rating on Google. I hope that more customers leave reviews on their negative experiences so that these racist individuals can be removed. It’s 2024 we should be behaving better and servicing our community with better quality and better service.
