Psomi

I have been a repeat customer of psomi for a long time. The food is phenomenal but my last visit was a horrible experience. I was so excited to have my parents in town from out of state and I raved good things about psomi. I had a reservation outside and unfortunately it was a cold wet rainy day. At check in I had asked the hostess if they were able to accommodate us inside which they could not (understandable since I specifically made the reservation for outside). When we got seated outside I kindly asked our server if there were any heaters they could place near us and was told they didn’t have any. When we were finishing our meal some servers were coming out to set up heat lamps? I was confused and disappointed because I was told they had none and here they are finally setting them up as we finished our meal. On our way out we had walked through the restaurant to see multiple empty tables. They turned over our table in 45 minutes. Psomi should have already prepared to have the heaters set up at opening knowing the weather. Or could have accommodated us inside (even if they had upcoming reservations they could have accommodated us inside and gave us a heads up about another party having a reservation at “x time” so we didn’t have to sit outside in the freezing cold). I’m really disappointed in the customer service. Our waitress was super sweet but psomi management needs a better hold of communication of employees and preparing for weather. I was so upset because I had guests from out of town and it didn’t live up to the “hype” I made it out to be.

First contact with the server was prompt and pleasant. He left menus and said he would be back. Seven minutes later he was back. We ordered food and coffee. Coffee came out 5 minutes later. When the food came out, one was hot, one was pretty warm, and one was barely warm. Overall a 4 out of 5 experience. Probably not worth another 50 minute trip.

Delicious food and wonderful service! The French toast was the star of the show but literally everything we ordered was made to perfection. The doughnuts were great for sharing and the Benedict was amazing. Can’t wait to come again
