Promised Land Inn

local pub atmosphere not a problem just wasn't expecting it and with menu option and prices. I thought it would be a little bit more upscale. But if you know what you're in for the staff was fantastic. They were accommodating. They were friendly. They were knowledgeable. The food was excellent. The portions were plentiful. The prices were a bit on the high side to be honest $80 for a steak is not the norm and the size was not so large that it was unable in one sitting ? Besides that there was also plenty of parking I would definitely return and you go in casual clothing and enjoy the friendly atmosphere and the fantastic food There are many less expensive options on the menu .

Catherine was welcoming & made a Moscow Mule & BlackBerry Mojito to perfection! Food was excellent! Atmosphere was warm, clean & inviting. The perfect place to weather a rainstorm.

We went here to get some apps and brews for a celebration and the place was amazing. Everything was wonderful. Catherine our sever made excellent drinks and couldn't have been kinder! The food was delicious and was an overall great experience!

Brussel Sprouts amazing!

PLI has a casual, laid-back atmosphere with friendly, helpful staff. Wine and beer and menu selection are really good. Our friends from out of state loved it, too! We're looking forward to returning when we can enjoy the outdoor setting. We'll done!

Wonderful dinner with an eclectic menu including elk lasagna and tomahawk ribeye. Beautiful on the inside and our waitress was great!

A not so Happy New Year’s Eve! I usually do not write reviews but in this case I felt compelled. After receiving numerous Facebook ads displaying delicious looking weekend specials my wife and I decided to drive 45 minutes to the Promised Land Inn on this past New Year’s Eve. We tried to reserve a table for 7pm through the Open Table app and were notified that all tables were booked from 5:30pm through 8:30pm so we made a reservation for 5pm. We arrived at the very rustic but cozy inn where only 4 other patrons were seated. Fine, we knew it was early. We were greeted by a very upbeat waitress and ordered a couple of well-made cocktails. So far, so good. When the waitress came to take our order, we asked about the delicious looking specials that the restaurant promoted. She then informed us that all the specials were sold out! How could they be sold out during the first sitting on New Year’s Eve? She said the owner who is not present did not order enough food for the specials. She was very apologetic and we could see she was uncomfortably embarrassed. We were very disappointed. She told us the only special available was the $110 Tomahawk steak. We ordered the Tomahawk prepared medium after the waitress said it tends to come out on the medium rare side when cooked. While we waited for our meal, we ordered a Caprese salad appetizer that was fair to say the least. After 45 minutes the steak was presented. It was as rare as possible. Not even close to medium rare and no where near medium. But even worse it could not be eaten. It would be easier to cut through a sneaker! We both felt duped and scammed regarding the whole experience and unfortunately would never recommend the Promise Land Inn at all. Also, it was 7pm when we left and never were there more than 4 other couples in attendance during our visit. The place was pretty much empty. So why the Open Table app said no reservations were available during 5:30 – 8:30 is another mystery. We will say the cocktails were fine and the waitress was a pleasure. Our bill with tip was over $200. It is unfortunate that I have to leave a negative review such as this, but this was my experience. I hope this review helps others when deciding if they should give the Promised Land Inn a try.
