Awesome hideaway place to get fantastic drinks! The staff are very knowledgeable and have interesting things to talk about.
Great place to hangout. They have awesome selection of scotch and some amazing cocktails. Old fashioned smokey is the to go for The bartender lady is very nice and friendly. I will surely return her again for more cocktails to try.
Great speakeasy in northwest Austin. Best whiskey sour in town made with an egg white.
Love it. Old Forester is everywhere and loving it. The drinks are amazing and the bartender was the best. I love the fact that it looks and feels like a speakeasy. Will be making this our monthly spot for date nights.
Went in and decor was a little all over the place but we were excited to give it a chance. Got our drinks and sat down. Floor and tables were sticky in spots. My drink was alright, nothing special, but my partner’s drink was too sweet. So she went to request another. He proceeded to question what was wrong with it and when she said it was too sweet he grabbed a straw, took some, and tried it and lo and behold he agreed. He sort of stared whilst offering no solutions until she asked if it could be made less sweet. He remade the drink less sweet and had her try it in front of him and then lectured that next time she should specify the level of sweetness she wanted and that he was helping her for the future like she needed advice ordering at a bar and that it was presumptuous to assume a signature drink would have a reasonable level of sweetness. We promptly left after paying our $35 for two mediocre at best drinks.
Watch out for the emergency exit! I thought it was the front door
I swear I couldn't taste any bourbon at all in my bourbon & coke. Maybe it was just a fluke, but I had just come from Parmer Lane Tavern, where the drinks were twice as good and cost less than half as much. Your mileage, of course, may vary.
