Prince's Hot Chicken Shack South

The flavor was amazing! It's not just in the skin but goes all the way to the meat! And I like that the skin keeps it's crunch & the breading stays on the chicken! We will be going back again when we're in town! I'm taking a few chickens back with me! Lol!

Great atmosphere. The strawberry lemonade was fire and got a chance to meet one of the co-owners who was so kind to tell me the history of the restaurant. If you have an opportunity definitely stop in.

The food was amazing! Staff were efficient and so kind. 100000% recommend this place. Tried the plain and the mild, both were flavorful and the mild had a heat that still let you enjoy the food!!

They have the HOT chicken.

My first stop everytime I travel to Nashville. Food and service have been great every single time. If you've never had Nashville Hot before, skip the imitators and go to the original first. There are a lot of great chicken places in this town but if I only have time to go to one... it's going to be Prince's.

If you like spicy order mild. If you like the pain now and later go HOT or anything above. They put a spice on the frys that while good is salt heavy.

Stopped by Saturday late afternoon and had to wait almost 50 minutes after ordering even with few customers in the restaurant. Did notice that there were a lot of takeout orders. We ordered the Andre chicken sandwich, 2 leg quarters - mild & 1 half chicken - medium spice level. Having tried other fried chicken places - Our expectations were high especially after reading the reviews. However, we found all the ordered items pretty average in flavor. The crispiness of the chicken was on point. If you like spicy, definitely go for the "hot" or one of the higher spice levels. On the parking front, they have very limited parking so plan accordingly.

3 whole wings hot, combo! Been eating Prince’s Hot Chicken since I moved to Nashville in 2007, @ the original location, they are the Originators of Nashville Hot Chicken, always imitated, never duplicated!

Honestly, best in Nashville.
