Pranakhon

Not your conventional thai restaurant! Everything from the drinks to the food to the atmosphere was a fully immersive experience. Went on a double date here & ordered the Khao Yum, Large Crab Fried Rice, Kanoom Jean Kang Keaw Wan (Green Curry), & Nam Tok More Fire. For cocktails, we ordered the Yong Kwow, Dao Pra Sook (Venus), & Bus Saba. For the first time dining here, I would definitely recommend sharing & doing family style as they have some unique dishes like the Khao Yum & the Nam Tok More Fire. I would recommend trying something that you wouldn't usually order at a thai place. The Crab Fried Rice definitely deserves was my favorite unexpectedly & also the Khao Yum. The Dao Pra Sook (Venus) was slightly too sweet & would've been better stronger but overall, all the cocktails were great. The ambiance was pretty cool but one thing is that it's way too loud & not great for conversation even though it was nice that we were seating in the left back corner. Overall, the experience here was extremely pleasant & would definitely come back to try the other dishes & cocktails!

My first double date in NYC. It won my heart with all four dishes that we ordered, even considering I’ve intensively tried out several Thai places in a row already. It’s my favorite Thai restaurant so far! We’ve learnt that it’s a relatively new place, here for a year and half. It has a wide selection of authentic Thai plates, like soup, fish, salad, apart from the noodles and rice. The crab rice had bounty of crab meat with rich flavor. Rice texture was also al dente. The soup was soul food. Salad is refreshing with purple rice. The green curry is also above average. The inside is also way bigger than what it seems from the outside.

Aquí es necesario hacer reserva si vas en grupo pero la comida es muy rica y variada y vale la pena. Les recomiendo que si van al almuerzo, pidan el plato que quieren como almuerzo, le agrega una ensalada gratis.

Love coming to Pranakhon, always a very bright, relaxed vibe with excellent food! I love Thai food and I go to all the buzzy ones, and I keep returning to Pranakhon. A big plus for all the staff who are all very nice and courteous. BB was professional and delightful with her recommendations and attentiveness today!

We really liked this place. Tom Yum was amazing definetely worth trying it. We also had Pad Thai and Massaman Curry with tofu. I would suggest getting the curry with meat instead of tofu.

The papaya salad was bomb! It really tastes like the one you’ll find in Thailand.
