Picked up an online order and arrived at the given time. Then I spent 15 minutes in the drive-thru, waiting behind other customers. At no point I was given an option to get the order inside or someone will bring it out. When I finally got my order, it was obvious that the shakes have just been sitting there and they were completely liquefied and only semi-cold. Likewise the sandwiches were luke-warm at best. Taste-wise we were very happy with the sandwiches and the soup (which was steaming hot) but the shakes were not salvageable and had to be thrown out. One would expect that they have systems in place to prevent this issue and if it weren't for this issue we would have been very satisfied.
I had meatball sandwich. Best ever. Great food. Service needs work. Fresh cut fries, would be a great addition.
One thing that hasn't changed in Peoria since 2020 is this joint's bad sandwiches. I was amazed by their consistency in making trash every single time over the years.
American paper currency comes in seven denominations: $1, $2, $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100. The United States no longer issues bills in larger denominations, such as $500, $1,000, $5,000, and $10,000 bills. But they are still legal tender and may still be in circulation. Tried to buy lunch and was told to go check the other stores along the way to see if they could make change. What a joke. Either accept the currency we use or don't do business here. I will never be back here for any reason. Culver's next door was able to make change like a normal business. Needless to say, I spent my money at Culver's. The reply from the owner is generic. I bet the owner didn't even read it. Talking about we look forward to seeing you soon. No there will be no next time.
Amazing food and service!!
I travel ALOT. I always stop at Potbelly if I find one. Out of all my travels, this is the absolute WORST one I've ever been too. Not a single adult on staff; all high schoolers and the service proves it. Ive had to travel to Peoria a good bit for the last 3 months. Ive ordered here well over 20 times during that time period. Lunch time and dinner time. All shifts have no adults. Not a single time has my order ever been correct however they love to talk about their love lives in front of the customers. I can tell you who is dating who from which school and who broke up with such-n-such, but I cant tell you of a single employee who has ever gotten my order correct. Today was the final straw for me. I have eaten within the store 2 times and the rest I got to go thru the drive-thru bc I have a 2 hr drive when I leave Peoria. Today, I went through the drive through and ordered 1 large oreo malt. It took me 18 minutes to get the malt, after I paid for it. The car behind me turned his car off and leaned his seat back. I watched 8 cars leave the drive thru line while I watched through the drive thru window 6 customers give their orders, had it made, and then pay and leave all before I ever got my oreo malt. Which was pure liquid and warm when I did get it. Malts are meant to be thick, not so thin that u think u are drinking a glass of milk. When I did get my malt, like every other time, the malt is all over the sides of the cup. They never give u napkins to wipe it off either. Im no longer going to go to Potbelly in Peoria. Both stores in Peoria are owned by the same family, or at least thats what a Sign says inside the place. This staff is a major blemish to the potbelly name. Im just surprised Corp hasnt retaken over this store bc of how bad it is.
Nothing special. Employee weighed meat on a dirty scale. Table was dirty as well as the floor. Employees seemed like they didn't want to be there.
