Lovely place! Such a hidden gem. The owners are so nice, they gave us a coffee for free while enjoying the tasteful pastries. You must try pastel de nata.
It’s a hole in a wall but the service is superb - parking is a bit of a challenge since you are by U of Santa Clara by Lafayette - just park on the side street and walk a few feet - it’s worth it
This is a small bakery and my ‘go to’ place for Portuguese foods. No room for sitting inside but there are tables outside (unfortunately on busy El Camino- I wish they had some tall potted plants and wood lattice to make the sitting area nicer, but then they would have to find space to store that.) My favorite here is the white corn bread. The sweet break and natas are also good. You can buy linguica, cheese, tomato jam, sardines, piri piri and many other Portuguese basics here. They also sell bifana and other sandwiches. Highly recommend.
I love the feeling of family owned businesses and the passion that is put into it! I absolutely love the Papo Seco and the Pasteis de Nata that I get here every other week! The food and groceries that are there are authentic Portuguese options with the home made taste! Highly recommend coming out to Portuguese Tasty Desserts for any and all Portuguese bakery needs!
Super tasty! The owner was so nice, gave us free coffee to enjoy with our pastries. Nice seating outside as well.
Best piece of Santa Clara. This woman and her husband are such a treasure. So kind and always welcomed like family!
Super nice owners. Fresh Portugese desserts & breads.
