fist time eating there today stopped in after work.i don't remeber it being there last time I was in braddock but that was a long time agowas almost gonna get chinese but curiosity got me after the nice lady saw me looking at the menu outside and asked what i might want. we'll I didn't eat it there took it to go lol. it was a burger and fries and it was really good alot of fries for a small fry as well. I'll def come in again and try some other stuff. it all looked good. I never had turkey ribs so maybey I'll give them a try next time. the people working were very nice too.

I'm not sure if my experience is out of the ordinary based on other reviews being good, but we just stopped in for the first time to order and encountered a very rude cook who constantly interrupted me and made assumptions about my diet. He was confrontational both to us and even his colleague at the register. We came in two hours before closing and they weren't willing to make anything to order. We tried ordering a veggie burger and the special (listed as 2 bones, 2 sides, 3 wings) and we got all sorts of excuses as to why they can't make that for us. The cook made assumptions about me not eating pork either and kept interrupting me when I was trying to speak. We came in looking for a good meal based on the other reviews but were extremely disappointed with the rude service and ended up leaving. The only positive was the lady at the register was nice and doing her best to deescalate the situation.

The young ladies that was working the front counter was very kind and respectful to the customers and supervisors. The Food made me feel like I was at a family cookout or gathering and it’s February In Pittsburgh pa lol. Good fulfilling food , good people , and good price.

The owner was rude, there food taste like trash, never eat here!!!!!!!

5 stars all the way! Great tasting food. Friendly service. Chicken, collards, Mac and cheese, beans, and those candied yams. Love in the food. Oh! Corn bread. Try the corn bread. I’ll be back.

Ribs are great, the owner and staff are so kind and awesome! It's funny I saw someone else say what I was going to in my review which is I've eaten here before but it was so good I ate it before I remembered to take a pic for the review. I literally almost just did it again! This time I wanted a rib sandwich, saw there wasn't one on the menu so asked if I could buy 2 bones & a sandwich roll. The owner said no problem & he wouldn't even charge me for the sandwich roll. A few minutes later he returned with a huge sandwich where he'd cut up alot of the rib meat for me vs just putting 2 bones on a bun. I had it topped with his yummy spicy mustard bbq sauce. I highly recommend this place! The only reason for 4 of 5 stars is I love homemade mac n cheese & the last time I ordered it a few months back I wasn't a huge fan but it could've been an off day. I'm positive I'll try it again and update at that time.

Great food experience!!! Fantastic food and heart to heart service! After chef gifted us cornbread we bought 4- its outstanding!!!! Our 4 year old loves it as well and can’t wait to go back!!!!

Overpriced trash with a rude, ignorant ghetto owner who is not experienced in culinary greatness, but knows how to put bbq sauce on crumbs for the neighborhood hood rats and rodents! THIS PLACE SHOULD BE INSPECTED AND SHUT DOWN BY THE BOARD OF HEALTH!!! DO NOT EAT AT POPPIE RED IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH AND WANT TO LIVE A FULL LONG PROSPEROUS LIFE!!!!!!

Delicious, real deal BBQ. Will return 100%

The ribs were good as was the Mac and cheese.
